OK. I know this is another computer system deal, but it's actually worked pretty well over the past couple of weeks, so I figured I would start a thread to document and such. Anyway, the system uses a set of formulas to derive several different sets of possible scores, then averages them together.
The actual scores that it comes up with are not really what should be looked at (because they're usually not very accurate), but moreso the actual spreads.
Anyway, here are the picks for tonight:
Bowling Green 28 - Miami OH 20 (took BG at -3 earlier in the week)
Northern Illinois 30 - Ball State 19 - I picked against the computer here and took NI @ -17. The computer rarely predicts victories of more than 15 points. I'm still trying to learn how best to read some of the numbers.
South Florida 26 - Rutgers 24 - I took S Florida @ +2.5
NFL PICK
Chicago 23 - San Francisco 22 - I took Chicago @ +3.5
Who knows, we'll see how it plays out.
