I didnt want to play anything else this week but I just cant make myself resist this silly line.
There is no way that California is going to score 30 points today on the road at Arizona State. The team total is 29 and it will go under for sure. The Golden Bears have just proven to not be really that good. They started the season terribly overrated and were able to keep the myth going for a while as they played crap teams.
The Golden Bears rolled up big points to start the season playing at home against the crappy Maryland Terrapins, and then followed that with another 59 points against Eastern Washington. They scored 111 points in those two games, both at home against sorry teams.
So they had started the season with an average of 55 1/2 points a game but now that average in down into the low 30's. The Golden Bears offense has been shut down as it played better teams including scoring 3 points in back to back games.
QB Riley has not even completed 100 passes this year in nearly 200 pass attempts, most of his stats were padded during those first 2 games to make him look like Peyton Manning but now, just a few games later has stats are actually bad.
This Golden Bears team does not have a single impressive victory all year long. The best team they have beaten this year is Minnesota. This is just a madly, highly overrated team whose offense can and will be shut down every time it plays a team with a strong defense.
That is Arizona State. The Sun Devils are giving up 18 points a game this year. They have not given up this many points all year ( FK Stanford), and the lose of Thomas Alteiri wont hamper this defense in the slightest. This defense held Washington to 17, Georgias high powered offense to 20, Oregon State to 28, and La Monroe to 14.

The sun Devils have only allowed 129 points in 7 games and The Golden Bears would have to score almost 1/4 of what Zona State has given up all year long. It wont happen.
California offense has fallen apart every time it has played a good team this year. This is not Maryland or Eastern Wasington or Washington State it is facing today. This is a very good Arizona State Defense. California wont be ready.
