well hawaii fans, and that includes me, last night was no different then previous ones. I said the game would be over by the half and it was. We all know that coach mac has to go, but it seems he and donavan are joined at the hip. June brought respect to this program and national recognition. In 2 years this coach has destroyed the ohana that we came to expect as HAWAII Football. I feel sorry for the people and the players of hawaii as we have pride in our team and state. we need to say ALOHA coach and I use the term lightly, lets get back on track and restore the respect.

How has coach McMackin destroyed the ohana that is hawaii football? Hawaii had 1 returning starter on defense to come into the year and he got hurt. Then Alexander got hurt and after the Boise game, moniz got hurt. Not to mention a contributing WR. How can you expect Hawaii to beat the likes of fresno and boise with that many problems??? and that's not the coache's fault. I thought June Jones did more to destroy the ohana that is hawaii football when he abolished the uniforms, mascot, and college football atmosphere in general. instead of the band welcoming the team onto the field, he played recordings. June Jones destroyed the traditions that makes Hawaii football unique. i wouldn't be surprised if you are a bandwagon fan that jumped on board for UH's undefeated season. Then when cicrumstances CLEARLY say UH will have a bad season (and they are so far), you jump ship and blame the coach. Admittingly, what he said at the WAC preseason media press conference towards Notre Dame was foolish and bad judgement on his part but don't say a losing season is the reason why he destroyed the ohana that is Hawaii football. You were probably one of those people who thought UH should've played for the national championship in '07.
