Crusher do you have any first line lines for this game. i am thinking about taking Tech in the first half at home.
Do you have the strength of schedules for these two teams? The NC Defense may be a paper Tiger or there offense tires them out because they cannot score. I am leaning towards the latter. 7 points vs Tech loss, Virginia 3 loss, Florida state 27 loss they dont play defense anymore, 10 points vs uconn early in the season.
I know they both have played and lost to G. Tech.
NC 7 to 24
VTech 23 to 28
Do you trust VT to hold NC to less than 13 or less.
Do you trust VT to score there ususal 32

the over looked great
might be a case where Vtech does all the scoring 31-7
My worst case scenario has this game going at 24-14
I have the rebel in debate right now in our top 5 plays of the week
But worst case scenario we get auburn with a late field goal attempt for win
thats worst case
maybe put 1 unit on vtech and 2 units on the teaser
im not a unit guy so best of luck I dont even know what that means but 1/2 as much on the straight as you do on teaser

hadsome good stuff 'but this is all thats worth writinga second time
North Carolina/Virginia tech
in conmference schedule
Line Crusher value sos
Nc in conference play
gt -----5-1 losing only to Miami
virginia -2-1 also beat maryland
fl sta --1-3 losing to gt , bc , miami
Simply added up 8-5
opponents in conference league record
V tech
in game conference opponents record
Bc-----3-2 losing to v tech and Clemson
Miami--2-2 losing to clemson and c tech
Duke --2-1 only losing to v tech
G tech 5-1 losing only to Miami
simply added opponents in confernece record
12-6 LOOKING FURTHER TO ME IT LOOKS LIKE IN ACTUAL IT SEEMS AS THOUGH NC LOST TO ALL OF THEIR OOPNENTS IN CONFERENCE PLAY (0-3 ) SO THEIR OPPONENTS RECORD IS NOT 8-5 ITS 5-5 AND LOOKING A BIT FURTHER AT V TECH OPPONENTS IN CONF RECORD IS 11-3 THAT SUBSTANIATES A LOT THERE IN MY SOS FOR ME
SORRY ABOUT ALL OF MY NOTES DELETING THEIR SELF HAD SOME REALLY GOOD STUFF MUCH MORE DETAILED THAN THIS BUT I TOOK A BIG A SHORT CUT IVE ALREADY GOT THIS PLAY GOT TO GO ON TO OTHERS '
BUT GREAT QUESTION IT IS DEFINITELY NOT THERE IT CANT SEE IN MATRIX LIKE I CAN

had your totals figures all out for you
it seems as tough there may be value in the second half under
Nc has been out scored in the fourth quarter dating back to gt game including
georgia southern game
all those totals are gone will get tape recorder (note to self)
youll have to go look at these now I cant even pretend to have a clue with unders overs halfs stuff
but in this case I noticed 3rd quarter for both team having some goose eggs
should be easy to obtain usingthe link clicking on the scores
and then going back to gtech and so on
I wouldnt go back more than three games though
I dont give to much credibility after that

I think this line is too high...should be around -10 or 10.5. I'll likely be on UNC. 2 pretty good defenses, 2 QB's that don't make great decisions all the time...UNC's D is fast enough sideline to sideline to handle Taylor and I don't think they will give up the big play on the ground when he starts to scramble. If North Carolina makes a bunch of mistakes early I think you'll be on the right side of things here, but if this game is moderately close at halftime I think UNC can cover. Just my 2 cents.

Here's my writeup from another thread...
Don't be fooled by the FSU game, UNC's offense is lousy. However FSU, with all their injuries, has easily the worst defense in the ACC, so UNC was able to put some points up. UNC can run the ball some, but, when UNC had to try to pass in the last couple of drives to win the game, they couldn't move the ball at all. VT's defense is solid - the only teams that were able to put up many points against them in conference play, GT & Duke, both have good offenses. I'm not worrying about VT's pass defense as UNC couldn't pass on the worst D in the conference, I'm focusing here on VT's rushing defense. They played GT last week who has averaged about 300 yards this year on the ground with the option and allowed just about that 300. However, GT is a very good team and has played much, much better in the past couple of weeks than they did early in the year, so this doesn't scare me.
I look for UNC to move the ball a little primarily with the run but not up and down the field. I'd say they're good for between 10-14 pts, maybe a little more with if they can get some good field position through turnovers or special teams, a little less if VT really comes to play on Thursday night in Blacksburg coming off a tough loss to GT.
I think the overwhelming factor here though is the VT offense. They have been putting up lots of points lately, and I think would have scored more at GT but the option game controlled the clock and kept their offense off the field. GT had the ball for twice as long, VT put up 23 pts in 20 minutes on the field. UNC not going to be able to control the ball like that.
I think the UNC defense is a bit overrated, FSU has a nice offense but when they executed last week UNC had zero chance at stopping them. Take into account VT's extra motivation coming off a loss to GT and a home Thursday night game and I don't see them putting up any less than 35 pts. Other than Matt Ryan beating them two years ago, VT has fared really well in these games and I think is in a great spot for a blowout here.
I see this going to VT by 20, with it not being much of a contest, and over the 42 which seems a bit low. Will probably tease it to VT -10ish and over 36ish to give myself some room for error, although I'm a big ACC fan, have seen both of these teams play all year and think I have a good read on this one. Good luck.

If I don't understand something I'm going to ask.
Line said he's going to do the teaser and make VT -6 which means VT -16 is not strong so that assume NC +16 is a stronger play correct?
(in my last post i meant NC not VC because I got the teams and lines confused)

I too think UNC +16 is the play here. Their defense is good enough to keep them in most games, especially against an inconsistent offense like V. Tech.
Honestly, I think I'm going to stay away from this one, but if I had to take someone it would be UNC.

North Carolina has a terrible offense, which was held to 12 points or less by UConn, Ga.Tech, and Virginia, not exactly your defensive powerhouses. I would play Va. Tech especially since the number has not gone to 17 yet. We got this game at the opening line of -13.5. I do not know if UNC scores in this game. Va Tech sure will.

I think -16 is way to many points, and here is my reason North Carolina defense is real good and they are going against a offense that don't put a lot of points up against good defenses. this game can show some resemblance of the Tenny and Bama game. I would stay away from laying the major chalk. North Carolina has a SEC speed type defense.
the points or nothing is were I'm leaning right now!

sorry for this thread I was flat worn out I stayed up to do a few matchup analy,, I somehow hit the back button probable 75 words from being done so It seemed pointless to do it all again 'North carolina strength of schedule playing in conferece their opponents record losing all three game in confernce play NORTH carolina conf opponentes record (5-5)
On the other hand v tech (3-1) in conference record losing only to georgia tech a much better team when NC played them nesbitt has this offense finely tuned vtech opponents record in conference is (11-3) nc (0-3) in confer vs vtech (3-1) opponents record Nc opr (5-5) Vt opp (11-3) thats a big differnece
I also add a teaser play I like the 16 I love the -6 I mentioned the teaser if you just cant bet the -16 go get the -6 with the over and Ole miss rebels or something for a 3 team parlay I said dgo get the -16 because its going to go up I like Vtech to cover here eventually and stay there But I want be sweeating this one I laying low money here I am 2-0 already this week (eagles and East Carolina) So IM pretty said headed into the weekend but -16 in so many ways is better than -17 34-17 27-10 go get the -16

Yep, good for betting games that you don't necessarily like a side or total play on and pretty much agree with the bookmakers, but still want some action.
I will say that I don't normally bet teasers except for small $$ on games that I just want action on (MNF, Thursday nite college, etc), and that I think they are generally a smarter play in the NFL than they are in college ball.
