Football was created for wagering, these other games can't even come close.In basketball the points are cheap and too frequent,they don't mean as much as in football.Baseball's wagering structure and long season are not as desirable as footballs.One baseball game isn't as important to the overall picture as one football game.Include me on the waiting list.

I usually get excited around time of the CWS in Omaha, Neb.

Watching all of those college teams on the diamond makes me wonder how they would fare if it was a football game.

That's when I know that we're getting close to the gridiron time.

yeah, I watched a pretty good game between Ole Miss and Miss. St. yesterday...Ole Miss won 17-7...I wish they had consistent lines on college baseball...oh well...

I've been watching some of those spring practices on the local fox sports channels on the satellite. Sometime they show them late at night after the best damn sports show period is over.

I am new here, and I know I will enjoy participating. I have read some of the posts and all the members here look pretty sharp. Thanks for having me.

I was musing recently about how cool it would be to have occasional college football weekends set up for conference challenges. I realize there would be all kinds of scheduling issues, but I think it could be done if planned far enough in advance.

One such hypothetical weekend could be something like a "SEC - Big 12 Conference Challenge." Just off the top of my head ... such a particular weekend could be something like this....

Texas vs Florida
Oklahoma vs LSU
Nebraska vs Tennessee
Texas A&M vs Georgia
Texas Tech vs Auburn
Okla State vs Arkansas
Missouri vs Alabama
Baylor vs Kentucky
Colorado vs Vanderbilt
Iowa State vs Ole Miss
Kansas State vs S Carolina
Kansas vs Miss State

These could probably be matched up better, I just banged them out. Prolly will never happen... but I think it would kinda be neat.
