    10/24: One Strong, Two Good
    Hi Guys,

New to the forum, but I thought I'd share a few plays worth considering:

    Colorado +4' @ Kansas State
It's been a miserable year for CU (last couple, actually), but most observers finally got their wishes with the change at QB to Tyler Hansen, and away from the coach's kid. The team is much more dynamic with him, & I think the season will turn the corner in some sense. I expect CU to win outright, but the 4' is a nice buffer. The CU program has fallen off the national radar, and rightfully so ... but this keeps the QB change from getting much exposure, meaning this line is off.

    Michigan State -1' vs. Iowa
Under the lights & at home vs. an overachieving, undefeated conference rival with minimal offensive prowess ... the time has come for the magic carpet ride to end. The atmosphere will be electric & there will a lot of hard hitting. But I think the adrenaline flows stronger with the Spartans here.

    South Carolina -13 vs. Vandy
Take a terrific defense up against one of the worst offenses in the country in a charged up home environment, and even a flat performance from Garcia and the offense should yield a cover. I don't expect to top 10 points.

College hoops is far & away my favorite sport for capping, but that a few weeks away yet.

    Good luck to all!

Really like Colorado in this spot. Kansas St is getting overvalued in this game because of the ass beating they put on Texas A&M last week. Kansas St is not that good of a football team but are making strides with Snyder back at the helm. Colorado is devalued here because of all their early season struggles but those seem to have passed. Colorado played Texas tighter than the score appeared and than upset Kansas. I think Colorado is the play here and really like them for the outright win. GL.

K-State will win by 18. They are at home against an evenly talented team with a 100 times better coach.

I'm really not sure about Col. after how bad they have looked this year. I like the MSU & SC picks. Good luck on your picks this week.

The way I see it, the fact that Colorado has played as poorly as they have for the national TV games up to this point keeps the line in a valuable position for Colorado bettors. This QB change took effect for last week's game vs. KU (though he came in late vs. Texas the week prior), well after the debacles vs. Toledo & WVU on ESPN. Hansen may never be a top-flight QB on the national scene, but he's a marked step up from Hawkins -- I think all Colorado observers would agree here, and the change has come so late only because they were trying to get a redshirt year for Hansen.

We'll see how it turns out, as you never can know with 100% certainty what will happen with an individual game ... but I think there is significant value with Colorado right now.

            Best of luck to all!
