Believe that is false. They had an OT game a couple of years back I thought Mich St won at kinnick.. like 05ish?

As I told you the 2nd week of the season, the MSU road game concerns me more so than the PSU road game............for the simple fact Iowa has played with confidence against PSU and for whatever the reasoning, other then Ohio State, MSU has Iowa's number as much as any team in the Big Ten and just gives the Hawkeyes fits.

Again, hope I'm wrong, but I definetly make Iowa an underdog in this affair, and the line is beginning to reflect my sentiments.

Many Hawks were sick with the flu last week against Wisconsin, luckily this wasn't revealed or I would have bet against the Hawks. Sort of explains the first half play last week. Can't imagine a healthy Iowa team can lose to Michigan St. in what seems like a destiny type season. Plus the Hawks win against Arizona earlier is looking better and better. Only concern is Iowa sits back in their bend don't break defense, gets no pressure on the qb, and lets Michigan St dink and pass all day and pick up 3rd downs. If Iowa's D can get off the field and get pressure on the qb, Hawks win easy. Otherwise, close game and fg either way. I'm taking Iowa though in this season of destiny.

Iowa will be motivated greatly in this game, as a win almost assures them of a BCS bowl(even if they lose at OSU, they wlll be heavily favored at home vs. IND, MINN, and NW) as they will be on pace for an 11-1 season or better.

Can't compare post stats. Iowa is a much better team then they have been. Michigan St is mediocre. UNLESS they play D like they did against UofM.

This is easy. Michigan State is an average Big 10 team, which means they are bad. Iowa defeated Wisky in Wisky, something tha tMSU could not do. Iowa has a huge technical advantage in this game, having covered the last 3 at MSU, going 8-0 ATS before the Indiana game, and 7-0 as a dog of less than 11 in their 2nd of back to back away games. Unless the Big 10 is totally terrible (and they well could be) this is as good as it gets wager wise. Iowa is the play.

You can't ever cap a game by starting out...

"Iowa defeated Wisky in Wisky, something MSU could not do..."

Michigan beat Florida a few years back, does that mean they could run the table in the SEC that year. C'mon pal. Get your head outta your ass.

Iowa is the play based on them being a much better team.

The main thing that is stopping people from backing Iowa is their games against N Iowa and Ark St. They have looked good this year, but also very bad. If they put up one of those stinkers it doesn't matter how Mich St plays. That said, until they lose a game I will back them.

Coming from a fan of a team that has had their head up their asses for the past 8 years, that is quite a statement. Care to compare records in here so far this year? I am 11-5-2 as posted in my Spredsheet. What is yours? But I am a USC grad, and can understand Michigan fans who also have their heads up their asses. When is the last time you beat a Pac 10 team? I'll make it easy for you. Try 2002. Amateurs who pull for teams like Michigan should really not take about having their heads in their asses, should they? USC has kicked Michigan's tail for years now. I guess their grads can also do the same to Michigan fans. Stop acting like you know what you are doing. You do not.

Yikes, if State is "mediocre" and they dominated Michigan for 53 minutes (400 total yard to 87), what does that make DickRod's team?

Im a huge Spartan fan which most of you know from the NC run last season. This game is like the UNC game yesterday. The books want to make it seem like more a game then it is to get the public on MSU. Iowa is the play here. They are better Defensively and MSU has not played a D like Iowa all season. Michigan was a good win but that is also a rivialry. In close big games at home MSU just doesnt come to play, in close big games anywhere they just cant finish. Ive seen John L teams up 21 and lose and although coach D is bringing a new toughness to the team they still dont win games when there backs are againist the wall and they still give up leds late. I mean if tate didnt give us a miracle in OT we lose that game also. I love my spartans and I will never bet for or aganist them but Iowa by 7 to 10. Too much D for the spartans!

and the IOWA MICHGAN game..... IOWA completely dominated that game except the pick 6, and the wildcat TD. So that game wouldnt even matter in capping this game because if Nichol plays he isnt as big a running threat like Roberson which confused Iowa, Nichol can throw but I think they can contain him and make him throw to that scary secondary.

I'm close to 50 years old and this may be the best secondary at Iowa I've ever seen.

In fact, their defense as a whole is the best I've seen.

Still going with MSU in this one..........

Agreed. There defense has been spectacular this year; one of the top 5 in the country.

Iowas defense sure is pretty good. They sure showed it against Wisconsin and I think they are going to win tomorrow. They have one of the best defense's in the country like fishhead is saying here.
