I would consider this still a rumor at this point, but this rumor appears to have some legs. The word is that CB Javier Arenas will not play tomorrow due to a broken rib!!!

When did the broken rib happen, at practice?

Well, at least we get Jarrell Harris back in play tomorrow(Saturday).

Hopefully it's just a rumor sure could use Javi for this game.

Apparently there is an unannounced injury, but at this point, I don't think it's Javy, and I don't think it involves a broken rib. In any event, I think this will be non-factor for todays game.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina running back Jarvis Giles has been suspended and won't make the trip to play No. 2 Alabama on Saturday night.
South Carolina athletic spokesman Steve Fink said Friday that Giles violated team and university policy. The freshman was the 22nd-ranked Gamecocks' second-leading rusher this season with 245 yards.
Fink said he did not know if Giles' suspension extended past the Alabama game.
Fink also said offensive line starter Heath Batchelor would not make the trip, either. Multiple media outlets reported the junior left the team this week. Fink would not comment on those reports.
In addition, Fink said second-team receiver Dion Lecorn and backup defensive end Byron McKnight would miss the game because of injuries. HMMMMMM...Things that make you go...HMM

Well, it WAS Javier Arenas, and it WAS a rib injury. I'm sorry I was not able to confirm this today. When I posted it, I could not confirm the information. And because I played in a softball tournament all day today, I never was able to do so.

Nevertheless, I hope I was able to talk some people out of playing Bama today!!!
