Just trying to get what you're saying here....so let's say you're starting a 25 team open parlay....And there is a game for example....NFL bengals pk -110 browns pk -110......You would bet both of these to start your parlay ?

yes correct i would open 2 parlays betiing on both sides using the parlay calculator to tell me how much to hedge.important thing is to make sure you can get +ev to -110 max for possibly each side
heavy favs exept for a couple,or a few risk shots to fill and ending with a hedge very tight line ,and a hedge to the other side preferably a dog side.it should normally be a large wager so you can make decent money for the time ,and work invested.

i didnt hedge this or anything but it can still be used as an example.
lets say wager 1 and 2 where placed on seperate days.
total investment/profit margin
wagering both sides at 150 to start parlay cost $300
the last wager on this ticket would of been the ufc carlos condit @ +300 as a hedge
the parlay at this point i know pays $3612
the hedge would be $1200=total investment of $1500
locked profit=$1500 either way final event goes

Your hedging is interesting, I've never thought of it that way before, but it's actually a good idea! I've just been closing out my parlays with monster favorites of -10,000 or so, and hedging by taking the +8000ML haha

ncaab pretty much what was mentioned above.

i try not to take to many chances,but if its a small parlay of 200 or less i take long shots all the time but do more homework on them

I have read this thread from start to finish. I feel as though the belmont game meets the criteria of a top 50 NCAABB team playing a team rated 280 or lower, plus the moneyline would yield just a hair over a 4% ROI, so with those factors I was wondering if his modeling had Belmont rated as high as I did. As ASS and I have talked before, he has had his top tier teams rated significantly lower than me. That, coupled with the fact that he stated there were no qualifying plays for today, had me wondering where he has Belmont rated.

But to your point, you are right, nobody takes the time to read the thread.

Porter I'm wrong alot just ask my wife, I see Belmont 49 so will look at that game further. I also think ASS is using more than the simple criteria mentioned in this thread but could be wrong again. Not going to argue with 32 straight picks, it got a little weird before the parlay but has settled in nicely.

I really don't get your thinking when you wager on two opposite sides to start the parlay, you can just put $300 instead of $150 and start it off LOL it's like you completed the first leg in the parlay with +100 odds.
