Best underdog SU for week 7
Got a nice card going this week with georgia (-7.5), idaho(-9.5) NIU(-4.5). I'm looking for the best underdog to to pull the straight-up upset. I'm leaning towards Texas Tech over Nebraska. any one got any strong opinions on who to take?

everybody is jumping on Wisconsin (much like last week and look how that worked out) so that could be one reason. another is Iowa's ability to move the ball through the air, something Wisconsin hasn't much success stopping. they allowed 386 passing yards when playing Michigan St. at Camp Randall. Last time Iowa was a road underdog, Penn State. say what you will about PSU, but i think they are a solid football team making the 21-10 win @PSU, an impressive victory.

Vandy, Colorado, New Mexico State, Wake Forest.

How in the hell could you bet Georgia. They are in complete disarray, and have to go on the road again.

I hate saying it, but TTU is the best bet.

sdsu @ home vs byu - san diego state is a team committed to winning this year, and have been competitive vs big competition, and byu has TCU next week

                washington
                stanford
                ucla

could almost treat the 3 pac 10 dogs as NHL ML plays

Whatever you smoked before coming up with this, I'd like to score some of that... SDSU is terrible. No chance BYU falls to them...

How can you say that SDSU has been competitive against "big competition"? Their biggest game was UCLA and they lost by 19 points. I guess you could say Air Force is "big competition" and they did cover the 17 point spread, but needed a last second hail mary to do it. Have you seen them play? They are terrible. Take them against the spread if you want, but picking a 17-point underdog to as the best underdog with a chance to win straight up is just stupid.

sdsu has covered big numbers as underdogs and favs this year, and they obv don't have talent of byu but the situation has presented itself for a BYU look ahead and sdsu is a program that before the year made it known to the MWC that they are committed to winning, its obv a long shot though

and this is one of the most competitive teams they've had this decade

                        like the line movement

Do you think SDSU will beat BYU straight up? That's what SU means... OP was not asking for underdog winner against the spread. While I think it's unlikely SDSU will even cover, it's certainly a possibility, esp with BYU potentially looking ahead to TCU. But do you really think SDSU can beat them? No chance...

don't need the condescending tone, i know what SU means, hence the phrase "it's obv a long shot"

i should be asking do you know what "long shot" means, or the word "winning"

i understand some have problems with understanding gerunds, especially when used in the infinitive

Yeah, i was thinking that SDSU covering 17 points is a long shot. Matter of semantics I guess...

                                true that would be semantics

words have different meaning to different people
