OFF TOPIC---- ADVICE NEEDED. ark st. this board was in <3
Take a minute. i need some advice.

honestly what can i say. the past 3 weeks have been aweful. I lost almost every bet i made. and the worst is i tried to play catchup. (doubling down). im sick over lasty night I truley am and the thing is that I dont know if im a reckless gambler or what? i dont have self limits. It seems alot more people are level headed when it comes down to it. If im at the casino and go up a few units i will lay it all on one hand. maybe its to feel the rush but even when i win im not satisfied its like im not happy. Im never happy. a grand im thinking two, two im thinking 4 and we all know eventually if not right away the house scoops that up. now i never double more than twice. but still. f*&% football is how i feel right nowit has killed me this year so far. I swear i know its always been a game between odd makers vegas and public and how theres just alot of bait swinging around. games made to look good to the public and really its a eff job. I guess im always at the plate swinging for home runs. Can someone please give me some advice. should i take all my money and start booking? cuz i cant deal with the decisions i make and maybe if i let everyone else make them i'll still be gambling just wont be making the decision... for the cherry on top my awesome GF of 2 years left me. not cuz of gambling but b/c im an asshole. how do you stay within your limits? how do u cope with the ups and downs? is that you minimize them.. a little up a little down? please some gambling advice. some life advice. i need it.... thanks for reading.

My advice: Use proper English and grammar, including separating paragraphs. You're more likely to get responses.

Find out what you do best and concentrate on starting from scratch with a set amount of money. Find out what your goal is. Do you want to have a lot of action, or do you want to make a lot of money? How much can you afford to lose?
If you can't control yourself playing in the casinos, STOP!

Set up an account for a sport (college football for example) begin betting at 2-3% of your bankroll and with games you feel more confident on bet a little bit more. NEVER GO ALL IN ON A

Avoid the tempting spotlight games and look for angles that others might see as obvious choices. Follow some of the cappers on here that pick the games that nobody else picks. Don't follow all those picks, but look into why it might or might not be a good pick.

If you can't separate your personal life from gambling, then you need not be gambling.

If you can't learn from your mistakes and look for excuses for why everything and everybody is against you, then you will not become more successful.

BOL to you and eff that girl, there are so many more out there.

            1. Get your confidence back up. Start from scratch, forget your past losses.

            2. Stay away from weekday games when its a couple of nobody's battling it out. These games are very hard to gauge becuase many of us have not seen these teams play so we are basing the games off stats and past games which CAN (keyword "can") be very misleading.

            3. Play slow. Bet only a certain amount on every game you play, double it up if you see a game that you like.

            4. If you are having trouble (which you apparently are) stay away from parlays. They can potentially pay good, but they are also harder to hit, which means more losses.

            5. Look ahead to the weekend games. Find a few that look good to you and do some research. See what other guys on the board are saying. There are a lot of good cappers on this board. You just got to know who to listen to. Many of the topics are picks pulled directly out of someone just like yourselfs ass (zboiz for example).

            6. WEATHER! Look for games in the rain. The under is always a good bet in a game where it is pouring.

            7. Lastly, play smart. If you win a few bets, don't go crazy ape and blow it all right away. Stick to the bet sizes you have been making and slowly increase as you win.

thanks for the response's guys. Your right the rain games are the best.. as far as seperating my personal life from gambling i need to tighten my ropes... have more self restraint...

Casino---- there just ****ed up.. everytime i say why not just go to dinner maybe bar / strip club and have a way better time then what i throw down on a single hand.
the thing about following cappers is i feel in the year 2009 and with the recession alot of casino are hurting.. i think there is false propaganda out their that they put out to fool everyone...

jets/ miami game monday night..... if u searched the internet u couldnt find one site talking aboutm miami except for say the miami newspaper... is anyone on this site honestly say they are up in their lifetime? this year? i appreciate the the input.

I'm not talking about the propaganda out there. Use this site to get info that you wouldn't previously have known to make your own decisions. There is no need to pay for picks. You just have to get as much on a game you can to make a decision that you believe has a >50% chance of winning. If you believe you have an edge then bet it. If you don't, then stay away!

I am up money right now on College Football and winning at 72% on the year (posted plays in my thread)..I expect that number to go down as it gets tougher and tougher to beat the books as the year progresses.

I finished around 51% Baseball, and 55% on NCAA Basketball for the year..

Like I said, don't follow anybody blindly, just use the info on here to make more educated bets.

Quit gambling. With your mentality you will go broke, no doubt in my mind. If you can honestly change your gambling mentality that's really the only chance you have but I've rarely seen it happen with people who bet for the rush.

BTW, booking would be a terrible idea. Don't do that. BOL.

The sad reality is, the real answer is the one you don't want to hear. You shouldn't bet anymore. Work your ass off and make your money back...and when you do, stay away from betting.

I have the same mentality you do, where you basically just bet for the rush and everything...the truth is, I probably shouldn't bet either...but I feel like I'm actually pretty good...and that is probably the kiss of death. If I was awful, I wouldn't find much joy in it...I have noticed this though...and now that I have realized my ways, I've become VERY good at separating my personal life from gambling...that was my temporary solution...your personal life has to be separate..like church and state...like politics and sports...they just don't mix. If your personal life and betting are mixing, you'll lose.

Get your personal shit in order...be it work, school, whatever...if you lost a girlfriend...find yourself again...become your own person again. It sucks man, but when you have the attitude both you and I have...you HAVE to know that your ways are destructive...I've just tried to cage them the best I can. I don't like going 1 night without action on a game of some sort. WE, are degenerates...and in the end...we are supposed to lose...because we are too dumb to realize that, if we keep making wagers...you'll find losers...then, you find a rut...then you want to get it all back...then, you lose double what you thought you did...and before long, you're writing posts on a message board looking for help from other degenerates.

Gotta find yourself mate, do what makes you happy...but you can't risk your personal life away from sports and gambling on this shit. That's the only goal I have...and my friend, you and I are the same. Good luck mate.
