pmile I agree they are the best team in the nation. I do however feel the one way to beat them is with a good passing attck. I don't think it will happen but "IF" Ole' Miss can find a way to slow down that rush and give Snead a little time and "IF" Snead has his best performance then Ole' Miss has a shot. Unlikely and doubtful but not impossible.
I'm on Bama though.

To be the best you have to beat the best... Until Bama takes down UF, they can't be considered the best. Do you really think Bama can move the ball against UF's defense? Hey, keep saying that Bama is the best. I love UF in the role of the underdog but if you think UF with 2 deep on defense isn't the favorite then your the people that will inflate the spreads :-)

injury to Dont'a Hightower. Reamer had been the starter on the strongside before Hightower's injury.
--True freshmen LBs Tana Patrick and Nico Johnson could step in this week on the inside while sophomore Jerrell Harris sits out the last game of his six-game suspension.
--LB Donta Hightower is out for the season after suffering a knee injury that required surgery.
--LB Jerrell Harris is at the end of a six-game suspension by the NCAA for allegedly accepting a laptop computer as a gift. Harris will be eligible after this weekend's game against Ole Miss.
--LB Damion Square is out after suffering a season-ending knee injury.

I heard the captain of all waterboys has a sprain ankle and it's healing very slowly. Should not be too much of a concern here though, as his subs aren't too bad with an average of 5 bottles per min for the season so far.

If I had to choose out of Bama defense or Florida I would choose Bama. Also Bama has been the most complete football team I have seen all year. They are impressive and have by far the best backfield in the nation. With Arguably the best WR in the nation.

BTW: I love Bama over Ole Miss in a beatdown +20. First half will be close but Bama will take over in the 2nd half. I've already loaded up.

Hightower was reported out on 9-28-09 though so this would not have an effect on this weeks line.

Its safe to say Bamas D is ahead of South Carolina and we seen what Sneed did in that game. He folded
Home field isnt going to stop Bama from laying Sneed on his back.

I'm not sure why so many people are giving OM a chance here??? Unless Snead wakes the fuk up, no way in hell does OM win this game. Their offense is extremely one dimensional and I think UK gave Bama a better fight. OM is getting way too much love off of last year.

Correct. No reason to expect anything that we have seen already from Snead, an under acheiver.

In case you did'nt know it means a lot. I think if Washington was playing at USC they would have lost. But they had USC at home which was great for them.
Ole Miss almost beat Bama last year. They were really close. The thing you people are missing is matchups. I dont hear you guy speak about that. You people look at the records and say there is now way they'll lose they are underfeated. That does'nt matter. Its been years since a team went underfeated in college football. I think Ole Miss matches up well with BAMA and what Ole Miss do on defense which is a lot of middle gut A GAP blitzes can disrupt a Bama offense.

Your contradicting yourself. On one hand your saying it's home field, then on the other your saying its matchups??? I agree the matchups argument. I don't agree with the home field part. Are good teams good at home because their good or because their at home??? Are bad teams good at home??? Is it the chicken or the egg???
Washington was playing good football, USC was not. USC had a QB that sucked balls that day and they lost. They probably would have lost at home as well. I just gave you the stats on LSU at home versus Bama and Florida. LSU has gotten dominated against both teams at home. Whats your explanation for that fact? I'll tell you. The years UF and Bama has beaten LSU those teams were better than LSU. The years LSU has won, they were better. Only a few times did the underdog actually win the game.

Homefield and matchups is how you determine a spread. Am I correct ?
So yes both are critical when it comes to sports! Now a good team is a good road team and home team, but good teams lose also. And if you do your research you will be able to find that most good teams lose on the road. So what I'm saying is HOME FIELD is very critical especially in college sports. Why do you think NFL teams play so hard during the year. They are trying to establish home field. Please dont discredit that. You are talking to a sports fanatic right here. I been to every venue in the SEC, and a good bit across the nation! Home field is MAJOR!

Home field is about 3 or 4 points TOPS... Your making it like it's 20+ points. USC went into the Shoe and beat an OSU team that really outplayed them for the majority of the game. How much did home field play a part in that game? Last year, Ole Miss beat UF in the swamp. A game that we totally dominated them in statistics, was about to go up 17 points in the 3rd quarter but through a series of turnovers they got back in the game and won. Washington had you guys at home and they outgained LSU at home and still lost the game. If home field was so important then why did these teams lose? MSU should have beaten LSU as well but what happened? They had 2 tries that looked like they got in the end zone but neither play was even reviewed. Was the LSU/MSU game close because of where they were playing? or because MSU matched up well with LSU? It's all about matchups. Teams, players, games have been played all over the world. You better come to play no matter what planet the game is on.
Home field advantage, flying out west or out east, etc is severely overrated. Good teams find ways to win on the road. Average teams make excuses.

LSU scores 3 measly points tonight and couldn't move the ball to save their lives. What defense would you choose again
