Thats why Florida offense has taken steps back they dont have those targets anymore. Those were Tebow #1 and #2 recivers. Now Florida has to focus more on the zone read package, and without Tebow that shit will not work! The reason it wont work is because you dont have to respect Brantley running skills. Do you understand that simple logic ? You can load the box with 8 defensive players like Tennessee did and force Florida to pass. LSU defense has a whol enew coaching staff. New secondary coach, new linebacker coach, new d line coach, also a new D cordinator. Also they have a whole new scheme to learn. That was there 1st game under all the new schemes and it showed. But if you look at LSU defense today they are improving every week.
If you take Florida same defense and put all new coaches in there they will also take a couple of steps back. Its the nature of the game.Comment -
Your logic that Florida lost Percy and Murphy can be also be used to explain why LSU beat (barely beat) Georgia who lost Moreno and Stafford. Two things will happen in this game.....Florida will probably start slow and will definitely finish strong. Hell with all the logic being thrown around about the Tenn game, we could only assume that we can use the same logic that if you can almost lose to overrated 18th ranked Georgia team you can most definitely lose to a supposedly overrated #1 Florida team.Comment -

LSU offense is the most underachieving unit in the nation. They have the most potential and talent on offense to score 28+ on Florida but they have not came together as a unit.

6. Tebow is a duel threat who can pull the ball back on the read option
2009 Florida offense
1. No Harvin
2. No Murphy
3. No wing threats
4.Defense can load the box
5. Defense can focus on zone read
6. Now since Tebow is probably out the zone read id no threat because Brantley is no Tebow running the ball!

What an entertaining thread.
Z may be a homer...however he is right. Not only can LSU cover, they really have a shot to win this game. No I don't have a long list of trends and analysis to back me me up. But it's not like anything that has been posted so far to prove LSU can't cover/win really "drove it home". The fact is Florida could win, but you would be ignorant to think there is not a good chance they don't.
On a different note:
I really hope Tebow plays, LSU is going to end his season if he does.
Also to the "Dirt Burglar" fan, how did you like those Canes? Wait until Texas gets their shot, it's going to be painful.

Gentlemen, this is a game to watch and enjoy!! There are some many what if's in this game no one knows where to start. Just place your money in your pocket or maybe another game of interest. I believe LSU is a team that is so CLOSE to hitting on all points. They have really showed improvement from last year and I think they are close to being No.1. But FLA has all the tools!!!!..This game will be won on who makes the least amount of mistakes. This is a no play for me and can't wait to watch it this weekend...PEACEComment -
I don't get how people think that Brantley can just step in the game and UF won't miss a beat. That's ludicrous. You want me to believe that this guy, even though he has potential, will be as effective as one of the best Qbs of the decade in one of the toughest places to play? Ha. I do believe that the rest of Florida's team is talented enough to step up and get the job done with or without Tebow this week. Honestly, if they aren't going to let Tebow go full blast, they might as well play Brantley. I'm still unsure how LSU is going to score. It should be a good game that I believe will be a close one.
