    lol line of the week
    Ole Miss +5 vs. Alabama

Jevan Snead has thrown 5 picks in 4 games (3 Vandy, 2 Memphis). Snead's 175 yard against Memphis is the fewest they have allowed all season still. Both Fla Atlantic and South Carolina St threw for more yards on South Carolina than Snead.

Meanwhile, the Ole Miss running game produced a measly 3.5 ypc and 3.7 ypc against South Carolina and Vandy respectively.

Oh, and the vaunted Ole Miss run defense was gashed for 4.5 ypc against Vandy. If not for Larry Smith going 10-27 because he is horrible and throws inaccurate rocket balls Vandy probably beats Ole Miss again.

This team earned it reputation in 4 games last year. The upset of Florida, staying close to Bama, beating LSU, upsetting Texas Tech. The thing is though Florida over looked them because they had already lost to Vandy and Wake Forest, the Tide jumped on them early and then quit once they thought the game was in hand (24-3 halftime), LSU and Texas Tech were seriously deflated teams. LSU because of an OT loss to Bama 2 weeks earlier ( they almost lost to Troy 1 week earlier) and Texas Tech because they were in the cotton bowl and not the national championship.

The line has been pounded by Phil Steele nuthuggers who cant adjust and still see Ole Miss as a top 5 team that should maybe even be favored in this game. Its absurd because preseason no one saw McElroy having over 1k yards passing 9 TDs and 1 int (deflected ball). Also very few saw Snead being this bad.

Alabama torches Ole Miss through the air and on the ground. The Ole Miss defense struggles to move the ball on the ground and forced to throw in a comeback attempt. Snead faces relentless pressure and a secondary that out classes his WR's.

I'm on Bama as well. I am concerned about the line movement though. Ole' Miss has a chance but it will take a very impressive performance from Snead and the O-line as well as some improved play calling from the O-coordinator. Nothing in gambling is a guarantee but Bama might be the next best thing.

Against the likes of North Texas, and Florida International. Ole Miss is not that bad of an opponent. Especially at home. You guys better watch out!

Mcelroy will throw his first pick this weekend against a defense that will blitz the hell out of him. This will be the first blitz heavy defense Mcelroy will see!

Actully, McElroy was sacked 5 times and took probably a dozen hard hits against Va. Tech.

If they just blitz constantly and leave their corners on an island Bama will light them up. Who for Ole Miss can even come close to 1-1 with Julio Jones without getting burned consistently? Even Marquis Maze, Darius Hanks, Earl Alexander, and Mike McCoy can beat the Ole Miss corners.

We might better watch out but it has nothing to do with the Ole Miss blitz package. They will almost certainly be hoping to pressure with their front 4 on defense which is far and away the strength of their team. Isolating Cassius Vaughn or Marshay Green on Julio Jones with be something they try and avoid at all cost. Im actually ashamed I even responded to your nonsense, but Im bored waiting for the presidents cup to start so whatever.

Z--have your forgotten how bad Ole Miss looked on both sides of the ball against South Carolina and the 3 picks Snead threw in the second half of the Vandy game. Ole Miss O line is nothing like it was last year and that is very evident. Ole Miss hasn't played a team with half the talent Bama has all year. Snead cant handle the pressue and gets happy feet in as the pocket collapses. Bama D will have him running for his life most of the day. The only ray of hope Ole Miss will have is McCluster and i expect Bama will have him running east and west most of the game. I just dont see Ole Miss being any threat to Bama. I know that Ole Miss beat Florida in Oxford last year and home field plays a roll in the the SEC, but Ole Miss is not the team everyone thinks and shouldnt be ranked at all
