I believe you have to look at the NFL and NCAA in two separate buckets. You just can't say that because someone didn't translate to the NFL that they were garbage. There are very few players who have been elite both in college and in the NFL, so it'd be like me saying that Tom Brady is garbage because he didn't start for Michigan. See my point?

aaaa correction a heisman is not a stat it is an opinion that is voted Apon. AND really it should be voted like a national election like how the president of the u.s. is voted for. 2 national championships ok great, the team did their homework they deserve a cookie. However very very few teams can get 3 championships even in the NFL. I would like to see Fla take on a real team like Boise State. They would like get crushed

Tim Tebow will have a long productive NFL career. I don't know if he will be playing quarterback or not but I gurantee he will be an asset to some team. He has the physical attributes, football passion, and relentless work ethic to suceeds regardless of position. This all coming from a die-hard Miami Hurricanes fan/alumn.

See thats the problem Sweet, you dont know him personally, how could you possibly know that?? Im sure he is a hard worker from some extent (heisman, and championship=good job), but the kid has been overhyped by espn and others for purposes such as ratings. Its almost like promotors promoting an untested boxer to face a proven champ, just for more $.

He is not garbage, however...and for the NFL doubters, let the kid play in the league first! We have no idea where he will play, what position he will play, or what the strategies of the league itself will be 5 or 10 years down the line. Who could have forseen the wildcat being an ever-present wrinkle in NFL offenses before this time last year??

You should be banned from this forum with this bullshit. Boise had 1 quality team on their whole schedule this year. Oregon... That's it. That schedule is pathetic. No way in hell should they even sniff a BCS bowl playing HS teams. Man up and at least play 4 or 5 good teams. They play 1

Not 1 guy on the Boise team could start at UF. Not a damn one. UF will put out more NFLers in the next 2 years then Boise will in the next 10 years. I don't even know why I'm answering a blubbering idiot

I have but one question to the distractors of Tebow. Is any of this his fault? The media hype, the fan loyalty, or anything else. At any time have you ever once heard or seen a fellow player have anything negative at all to say about Tebow?

I understand the distractors dislike of all the hype Tebow and the Gators receive, but it hardly the fault of the player or even the school for that matter to be selected as the focus of a media blitz.

The sad part is usually those that hate don't really hate that which they focus on or lash out at. Generally it is their own sadness that is at the core of their tirade. Jealousy? Maybe. Envy is more likely though. Take someones accomplishments and belittle them away due to his system or make them less important because of the talent that is around him. Take his character as a human being and degrate it as just something the nobhobbers have created. Take his future and cast it aside before it ever has a chance to happen.

I can assure you that no matter what team you are loyal too if you were to get an opportunity to ask your coach if he would like to have a player like Tebow on his team he would without question say abso****inglutely.

I tried not to get into this stupid discussion but It was inevitable.. that's the stupidest argument I ever see.. Calling him garbage! Man, Just to finish revolving your stomach he'll probably be the next Dan Marino and I really believe that he will fit great into the Dolphins and I think he is actually the QB Miami is actually needing.. He demonstrate that he's better than Quarter backs that are currently playing on NFL teams that previous played college football with him such as Troy Smith and Brady Quinn.. and believe me they are good but Tebow is a lot better.. He'll do great on NFL Just to add a final part.. the difference on the championship game between Florida (11-1) and Ohio St (12-0) 2 Years ago was his leadership.. and because of that I truly believe that he'll do great in NFL..

Oh and for the record I do know Tebow and have had several interactions with him from speaking to youth to at the golf course. I can promise you he is every bit as genuine off the field as he is on. On occassion I have had conversations with several of his teammates as well and even when there isn't a reporter present and it is just them speaking freely one on one not a single one I have talked to has ever said anything to the contrary about how they feel about Tebow.

One thing that stands out to m about Timmy is how bulky he is. It seems that type muscle would affect his passing ability and accuracy.
