pick cal -4 to win against usc. The running back for usc is out due to a weight bar falling on him. The quarterback for usc will play but is still playing with a bruised shoulder. Look for the cal defense to presure on uscs throwing game since they cant run.

What has Cal done?
- Beaten an AWFUL Maryland team (1-3, one win in OT against James Madison)
- Beaten a division I-AA Eastern Washington team
- Beaten a Minnesota team in a game that was tied into the 4th quarter while surrendering the same amount of points (21) that Syracuse (23) and Air Force (20) had to that team.
- Got DEMOLISHED by Oregon last week, exposing a massive weakness that when you blitz, this team folds.
Don't forget that Pete Carroll owns Jeff Tedford, too.
Cal's 3-4 may not bode well against USC's powerful offensive line, either; they'll have trouble getting pressure from D-lineman.
Not saying Cal can't keep this close, but there are much better games on the board than Cal in my opinion.Comment -
if you could honestly say that usc could beat oreagon then i would think twice before laying money on cal against usc. USC just has to many injuries on defense and will have to throw the ball because they have no starting runningback. They only won by a touchdown and a 2 point conversion against osu. And yeah a win still a win but it does not mean you win against the point spread.Comment -
I don't mean to be a jerk but what in the world are you talking about hillardoh? USC has no starting running back? Joe Mcknight is their starter and is healthy, averaging 7.5YPC. Staffon Johnson is out but he actually was the worst running back on the team in terms of YPC. Allen Bradford and Stanley Havili both averaged more YPC at 8.1YPC and 8YPC.
Matt Barkley playing with a bruised shoulder? That shoulder sure didn't look bruised last week as he threw for 250 yards, 60% completion rate, and two touchdowns in only 3.5 quarters. His shoulder will be completely healed by saturday if it isn't already.

ok ok we could go on and on but look at it this way coach carroll he is a big softy this guy lovesss to have warm mashed bananas in his boxers maybe not just kidding. if you watch his website youll find an embrassing video on 60 minutes of this guy displaining his player who gets in a fight during practice saying oh we dont do that we never do that. Then he says I really let him have it.He doesnt even suspend him. lol he likes to sing happy little children songs in the locker room. Want the proof just watch the video. This is reason why he was fired from 2 nfl teams.Man I want coach that can show some guts get mad and isnt afraid yell scream and holler once in a while not ohh you had bad day kinda coach who wants just talk about your feelings. After last week there is NO WAY IN HELL I would take Cal over USC + or - anything.
USC is the play here. They beat Ohio State in the big house and now have the QB back. The running back being injured means nothing........it's USC...........they always have bad ass brothers to pick up the slack in the backfield.
