The closest thing to a sure thing ???
A few comments regarding college football games involving a team from Division I versus a team from Division II.

The lines for these games are posted the same day they are scheduled at around 11 AM ET or noon.

Games that experience a big (and rapid) line move ( 2 points or more) are covering at a jaw dropping rate.

One game that stood like a sore thumb last saturday was Charleston Southern versus South Florida. The opening line was South Florida -35 and quickly swelled to -37.

    Final score :

    South Florida : 59
    Charl. Southern : 0

Where are you placing bets on D1 versus D2 schools?? I don't think you can get that action in Vegas.

Only a few offshore books offer these lines such as 5Dimes, Bookmaker and BetJamaica.

I will be keeping an eye on the lines when they are posted tomorrow and let you know what happened.

For the record, here are the lines which moved at least 2 points and the results :

          1) Central Michigan :

          Opening line : -40.5
          Closing line : -43

Central Michigan won 48-0 and covered the spread

          2) Ohio :

          Opening line : -4
          Closing line : -6

Ohio won 28-10 and covered the spread

          3) South Florida :

          Opening line : -35
          Closing line : -37

South Florida won 59-0 and covered the spread

          4) Mississippi :

          Opening line : -37.5
          Closing line : -40.5

Mississippi won 52-6 and covered the spread

          That's a sweet 4-0 ATS

No capping involved. No number crushing. Nothing

          A capper's dream come true

Here are the plays for Week 4 that meet the criteria stated above :

            1) McNeese State :

            Opening line : +4.5
            Closing line : +2

            2) Grambling State :

            Opening line : +43.5
            Closing line : +40.5

            3) Maine :

            Opening line : +24
            Closing line : +21

            4) Hofstra :

            Opening line : +24
            Closing line : +21.5

There are 4 plays for Week 4 that meet the criteria (2 point move or better). One thing in common these plays share: they are all underdogs.

I am not touching these games yet. I am listing the plays for information purposes. I need a larger sample before I decide to jump in and try to catch a piece of the action
