Finally, last week got me back on track and put me close to even for the season. This week looks like it should be a good week. Tonight's game presents a nice opportunity to pick up a unit. I believe that the line is close to being correct, but with the "squares" heavy on ECU this becomes a small play on Memphis. I have ECU winning this game 26-24, so as you can see there is very little line discrepancy in this game. That being said one of my models has Memphis winning this game outright by 4 points due to home field advantage, while none of my models have ECU winning by more than 5 points. As the public pounds ECU and the line moves in favor of the Pirates, I feel confident enough to make Memphis +6 a small 1 Unit pick. GL and enjoy the game!! Get ready for a big week!!

Time to kick off the weekend with a big Friday night winner. I have a three unit pick for tonight. I have this game capped at USF -6.5. The line opened at USF +3.5 and has moved to USF +2.5 at many books. I expect USF's defense to perform well at home tonight against West Virginia's explosive running game. USF is allowing just 13.7 PPG at home. Watch and enjoy as The Bulls of South Florida pull the upset tonight!! The public loves the Mountaineers, but the public is often wrong. Below are Saturday's winners. Suprisingly, the entire card is dogs, but I think there is some serious value out there tomorrow. It always helps to get the weekend started off right w/ a big Friday night upset. Hopefully, we can carry that momentum into tomorrow and pick up some much needed units. My two big 4 Unit picks are in the Pac-10, where I have seen some success lately. Just two weeks ago Arizona State was my big 5 Unit winner. I have Arizona State pulling an upset tomorrow over Cal. They allow just 2.65 YPR and 280 YPG. I have the game capped at Arizona State -4 with the total at 51.5. I also have Oregon upseting USC. In my opinion, the line should read Oregon -3 rather than USC -3. On a neutral site this game would be a PK, but home field advantage should be enough for Oregon to win by 3+ points tomorrow night. Last week was a great week. I look to keep the momentum going with a solid 2 Unit Pick on ECU tonight. I'm slightly worried about the revenge angle on this game, but I think home field advantage will win out in the end. My system says there is an extremely high probability ECU covers and a slight probability that they win outright. Look for Pinkney to be the difference maker tonight, not Tryod Taylor. My system has been on fire the last 2 weeks. Today should be no different. There are a lot of games on today's card, including two 4 Unit Picks. One of the 4 Unit Picks is Arizona State against USC. I have this game capped at Arizona State -2. This may come as a shock to some, but this USC team has spent the whole season overhyped and overated. Now the public is all over USC, because "USC never loses two games in a row." Says who? So what if they don't lose. Arizona State's defense, which allows just 2.56 YPR and 296 Total Yards per Game should keep this game within the number. Look for Danny Sullivan to have a big game at home tonight, as Arizona State looks to shock the country. Kansas State is my other 4 Unit Pick. I have this game capped at Kansas State -6. Last week was good to us. We picked up an additional 20.4 Units with a weekly record of 12 wins, 4 losses, and 1 push. I don't expect every week to go this well, but I definitely will not complain. The week night lines are very tight this week. I don't expect to have any plays until Saturday, but that is subject to change if something pops up on my radar. Below are Saturday's picks. As the season progresses, the lines are getting tighter. I only have one 4 Unit pick and one 3 Unit pick. Saturday's card is solid, and I hope we can put together another big weekend. My 4 Unit Pick is UNC +3. I have this game capped at UNC -3. The key to this game will be UNC's stellar defense. They should be able to shut down or minimize Miami's ground game allowing just 2.69 YPR this season. Once they shut down the run, they will put pressure on the QB, which is something Miami has struggeld with all season. Miami has allowed 26 sacks this season, while UNC's defense has racked up 25 sacks this season. Those numbers spell trouble for Harris in the pocket. As everyone saw, last week was rough. I had a terrible weekend in college and pro football. Fortunately, we are still up for the season and look to finish strong over the course of the next two weeks. This weekend looks to be a BIG card w/ numerous 2 unit picks. I have one pick for Friday night that I will go ahead and post. I have Utah State keeping this game within the number. My system shows Utah State losing by no more than 15 points tomorrow. Diondre Borel and the Utah State offense will have to keep this game close, because Utah State's defense has struggled all year. Last night was a rough start to the weekend. I liked the flow of last night's game until Boise State gained momentum and a 14 point lead late in the second quarter. Then, the wheels fell off for Utah State. It happens, and we must press on to Saturday. I have a big card with two 3 Unit Picks and one 4 Unit Pick. I love Arizona at home tonight. Home field should be worth about 5 point in this matchup. I have Arizona pulling the upset and winning by 2 or 3 points at home. Look for Arizona to out gain Oregon by about 60 total yards tonight. This should be a good matchup, but home field and Arizona's ability to convert 3rd Downs should allow them to pull the upset. Arizona converts 45.8% of 3rd downs, while Oregon converts just 35.4% of their 3rd downs. This will be a key stat in this game. GL and enjoy!

Last night was an exciting game and a big 3 Unit win. Today, I have 2 picks and they both come from the Nevada/Boise State game tonight. I have this game capped at Boise State -9. Last week was terrible. We gave back a lot of hard earned Units, but we still have a few games this weekend and an entire bowl season to get them back. Last week was just one of those weeks. Two OT losses and some bizarre mishaps near the end of regulation kept us from bringing breaking even or pickin up some units. Fortunately, that was in the past and tonight is what matters. I have a 3 Unit Pick on the board for tonight. I love Oregon State in this position. Can you say revenge? I can. The Beavers will be ready to play tonight and Canfield could have a huge game if his line can provide the necesary protection. The Beavers O-Line has allowed 27 sacks this season, which scares me when I see that the Ducks have forced 34 sacks on defense. PROTECTION for Canfield will be a key tonight. On a positive note, and in my opinion a much more pertinent note, the Beavers have converted 48.4% of their 3rd Downs this season. Will OSU win tonight? Who knows, but I do feel confident that they will not lose by more than a TD tonight. I have this game capped at Oregon -4. GL and enjoy the game!! Today should be a fun day in the college football world. I don't have a pick for the SEC Championship game, but I do have an opinion. This may be the game of the decade. I see the game going down to the wire, and one team will likely win by less than 3 points. My prediction is that Alabama will be trailing 20-14 with 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Then, the Alabama offense will have a chance to win the game on a late 4th quarter drive. My guess is that Bama seizes the opportunity and wins by a final score of 21-20. Roll Tide!! Each teams defense allows an average of 234.1 total yards per game. Bama has the slight edge in rush defense, while Florida has a slight edge in pass defense. No Dunlap may play a larger role than people expect. Bama wears teams down, and Florida will miss having that depth at the defensive end position. Like I said, this may be the game of the decade, so sit back and enjoy some hard hitting SEC action. Gun to my head, take the Tide at +5. GL!!!!

I hope everyone is having a great day. I figured today would be a good time to post about how I track my success and why I do it in that manner. I use the same method used by Dr. Bob, because I respect his long term track record of success and to be quite honest it is the only way that makes sense. In my opinion, a "Total Unit Based Record" must be used to compute your overall winning %. This means that higher unit picks are weighted more heavily than lower unit picks. For example, a 1 Unit win obviously counts as 1 win, while a 3 Unit win counts as 3 wins. Likewise, a 1 Unit loss counts as 1 loss, while a 3 Unit loss counts as 3 losses. This risk adjusted winning percentage is the only way to truly track a handicappers success. Below is my updated record, which includes my "Total Unit Based Record" and risk adjusted winning %. I love Bowl Season, and I have a 3 Unit Pick for tonight's game that I feel very strongly about. In my opinion the wrong team is favored. I have this game capped at BYU -6.5. BYU should be able to get pressure on Canfield tonight. Thus far, BYU has forced 28 sacks this season. Also, the Beavers should have trouble getting BYU off the field on 3rd down. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. I am now 5-0 this Bowl Season, and I look to move to 6-0 with one 3 Unit Pick tomorrow night. I have the BC/USC game capped at USC -3. In my opinion, Boston College is a solid play tomorrow night. USC is used to playing in BCS games, not playing in games that air before New Years. Yes, they are playing close to home, but this may be more of a distraction than a benefit. I think this game will be within a TD. In fact, I would not be suprised to see BC walk away with a victory in this matchup. GL and enjoy the winners!!

Thus far, we are 5-1 this bowl season, which is hard to complain about. I love Kentucky tonight against the spread. I have this game capped at PK. My one concern is Spiller and Kentucky's lack luster rush defense this season. Kentucky has allowed 4.62 YPR this season. Should be a good SEC/ACC matchup tonight. GL and enjoy the football!!

I have my largest pick of the Bowl Season this afternoon with Temple at +4.5. Temple wins this game outright. I have this game capped at Temple -3.5. The running game should be the deciding factor in this matchup. Temple averages 4.53 YPR, while UCLA gives up 4.06 YPR. Also, Temple should have a great deal of success getting after the QB this afternoon. UCLA has allowed 27 sacks, while Temple's defense has forced 33 sacks this season. Temple's offense is far more efficient than UCLA's offense, and I expect them to have no trouble moving the ball today. GL and enjoy the matchup!!

So far, so good, but we still have a half to play. I like Wisconsin to pull off the upset tonight. Much like this afternoons matchup, all stats point to a dominating performance by Wisconsin on the ground tonight. Wisconsin averages 4.6 YPR, while Miami allows 3.47 YPR. Also, Wisconsin should put a lot of pressure on Harris tonight (Wisconsin forced 32 sacks this season). Should be a good matchup, but I like Wisconsin to shock the experts and make a statement for the Big 10 tonight. GL and enjoy!!
