Holy shit, these forums are moribund.

Always liked this guy, Phil Bennett. A football-lifer, if you will. His Head Coaching record isn't so good. But he's been a Defensive Coordinator in the south for seemingly forever. Sort of like Bud Foster.

Bennett is a good guy and a good coach. But he'll (tragically) be most remembered for his 41-year old wife being hit by lightning (and killed) some years ago in KS.

My info is way off. He WAS the North Texas Interim HC for the BOWL GAME last year.

I was looking for info on Bennett. WIKI has him still listed as Interim HC. But that info is stale.
