Was hoping to start off 2-0 on Thursday, but I have a feeling most people had NC St. Boise looking good though. Anyway, I'm strapped for time, so take my 'write-ups' for what their worth
TEXAS A&M -15 vs New Mexico (2 units)
Aggie fans are getting frustrated and Coach Sherman will have this improved team ready for this one. New Mexico has a new offensive schemes to learn, and doing it in front of 100,000 "12th Men" isn't the greatest way to do it. A&M 35-7
OHIO +3.5 vs UConn (1.5 Units)
Ohio was better than their 4-8 record LY would indicate and returns most of their key players, whereas UConn's only offensive weapon (Donald Brown) is gone, and a rebuilding year is upon them. OHIO 24-20
CAL -21 vs Maryland (1.5 Units)
Revenge! Maryland will make a long trip to Cal with an inexperienced team and will get their butts kicked. Cal was embarrassed LY and will be ready for this one.
CAL 38-10
SAN JOSE ST. +33.5 @ USC (1.5 units)
Thats too many points to give with a Frosh QB vs. a not-all-that-bad SJS team. It'll take a while for QB Barkley to hit his stride. USC 28-9
BYU +22 vs. Oklahoma (1 unit)
Injury to OUs Gresham is just one more reason why QB HALL & BYU will be able to keep this one close. Okla. 42-27
NEVADA +14.5 @ Notre Dame (1 unit)
ND doesn't deserve to be such big favs vs. a quality team like Nevada. The Irish tend to be slow out of the gate every year, and an upset wouldn't surprise me here. The digging of Weis' grave may begin after this one. ND 34-31
LA TECH+14 @ Auburn (1 unit)
Auburn hired a terrible coach from a terrible Iowa St. team, and will have a terrible opening game against a decent La Tech team. Auburn 17-14
C. MICHIGAN +14 @ Arizona (1 Unit)
Despite to long trip out west, CM has enough talent to keep this one close. Heat won't be a factor either (temps in hi 70s to lo 80s) 'Zona 28-20
GL This weekend Everyone!
