    SJSU vs USC -34.5
It is looking more and more like carroll is gonna be starting the true freshman Barkley because Corp is still not full speed after the broken fib head. That being said I think they will slow the game way down by running the ball. The SC defense will be my only worry cause they could possibly put up 21 themselves.
Granite San Jose St. is garbage i just dont see SC killing them.

With a trip to Columbus on deck, PC has a big decision to make...if he starts Barkley v. SJSU, does Barkely go aginst OSU....if that's his plan, I think he gives Barkley plenty of opportunity to get his feet wet with the passing game, and build some confidence....if Corp is starting the OSU game regardless of who starts the SJSU game, then USC may play more conservatively....tough call in my opinion.

I see pretty much the same result in this game as you do, but for several different reasons.

      1. San Jose isn't the "garbage" team you think they are, as I see them going to a bowl game in December. Tomey will have a pretty good defense this year , with their DL being the best position group on the team, to go along with what could be the best SJSU team in the last few years.

      2. As far as Aaron Corp/ Matt Barkley getting the start against SJ, we shall see what happens at practice on Tuesday, as Aaron needs to be ready to play, so PC can start installing his game plan for the first game. If Corp is a go on Tuesday, look for him to start on Sept. 5, as Barkley has shown he's not ready to take the QB position just yet. From what I'm hearing out of the SC football offices, Corp should be ready to go on Tuesday, but we shall see how ready he is this week.

      3. As far as the USC defense giving up points? Don't worry about the USC defense, they will be far better than anyone expects this year. In fact, I see the SC defense possibly being as good as last years defense. The Trojan Dbacks are the best in the nation and most everyone can see that, but get ready to be surprised at how good their DL will be this year, as no one expects that at all.

      4. With OSU on deck, I don't see USC keeping their starters in for the entire game, but just long enough for them to get the work they need to prepare for their next game @ Ohio State.

      5. With all the above said, San Jose State is a national best 9-2 (818%) ATS, as a road dog over the last 5 years (with 5 or more games in the sample).

As you do, I don't see USC covering this line, which opened at 32 and is now at 34.5, but it's not completly because USC will be looking past SJSU and it's not completly because of the injuries the Trojans have incured during fall camp either. I think you need to give SJSU more credit than what the betting public is giving them for this game.
