I know this is typically a hard fought battle. BUT, I see the Rebels stretching their legs in this game. Any thoughts? My gut is telling me to take this one to the bank!

Houston nutt turned that program around and won a bowl game in one year. What else are u looking for? Seems he lived up to the hype already.

I would also suggest staying away from this one. If I had to pick one side, I'd go with Memphis.

No!
There's a different trype of hype now. Last year Ole Miss came into the football season as a middle of the pack type of SEC squad. This year they are ranked nationally in the top 15, and some have them winning the SEC West.
I want to see how Nutt can prepare his team when the target is on there back. No one will over look Ole Miss this year. Everyone will bring there A game like there playing a LSU or Florida.
I would love to see how Ole Miss respond to the national pressure that is on them.

Memphis is not in the same league. This game will be a laugher. Pound OM.

You will be wrong Z... OM is looking good across the board in practices. Their offense is clicking. They have some defensive issues but will shore it up.

Memphis +16.5.........tough first game for Ole Miss. OM will win but this is a dog fight every year. If OM puts everything into this game to make any statements they could be gambling there season. They will walk out with lots of injuries. OM will do only what it needs to win, and I don't blame them.

Ole Miss laying 16.5 on the road against a team that always plays them tough seems nice for the people who likes the dog

While I understand the allure of an "espn darling" and the dangers of becoming infatuated with such an organization this game should be somewhat of a gimme as far as I'm concerned. Any team that loses to Ed Orgeron 3 years in a row, then gets waxed by a first year coach and first year qb is not going to keep it close the next time around. I understand that the proximity of the schools fuels the fires somewhat, however, Memphis is not in the same league and the Rebels as far as talent is concerned. Now, come the Ole Miss v. South Carolina game we shall see just how "darling" these boys really are.

I got to agree with Z.. A lot of attention on OM this year.. I too am interested to see how they fair with so much presure.. A no play for me, but i wouldn't be shocked to see a closer game than expected.. LEE, i can't wait til Sept 3rd, just hope Spurrier prepares for an angry Jevan Snead.. Haha..
