In 2019, the Mountain West Conference set an attendance record they are not proud of. They averaged 23,232 fans per game, the LOWEST average EVER for the conference. Ten of the 12 Conference teams failed to draw 60% capacity for the season. Two drew under 50%. All 5 of the power 5 conferences had a much better average attendance, as did the AAC in the Group of 5 and the independent teams. Lack of competitive teams is the main blame as the conference was 9-12 against Power 5 teams and 3-5 against Group of 5 teams. 12 FCS home games also did not help attendance at all.
The fact that people like 209 Life who are totally ignorant of college football as a whole, and who are general arseholes with nothing to contribute also explains the terrible attendance record. That S.O.B. cannot afford a Big Mac, much less a ticket to see a game.
