    Minnesota Gets No Respect
Minnesota gets no respect. They are undefeated qnd coming off a huge win against Penn State. They are going to Iowa City to play a three loss Iowa team that has averaged 16.6 points in their past 5 games. Why is Iowa a 3 point favorite in this game? Minnesota believers, grab it while you can.

In other opening lines, Ohio State opens as a 50 1/2 point favorite over Rutgers. I cannot remember an opening line that high. They will probably cover. Northwestern are -40 at home against UMess, er UMass. Georgia is -3 at Auburn. Iowa State at home is a 5 1/2 point chalk against Texas. OU is -9 1/2 at undefeated Baylor. I guess Baylor joins Minnesota as undefeated Rodney Dangerfield teams. Michigan is -12 at home against MSU. They should be -22. MSU has given up on Dantonio. Harbaugh can get rid of one monkey on his back.

I found the Minnesota/Iowa line a bit odd too at first. I think it's because Iowa is at home, and Minnesota is coming off an emotional high after their biggest win in years. Iowa is better than their record indicates as well... 3 losses, all to solid teams, all within one score. At the same time, Minnesota hasn't played anyone except Penn State at home. I think the game will be close and can easily see Iowa pulling off the upset (from a ranking standpoint).

Ohio State should cover the 50.5 point spread easy... even Ohio State's 3rd team can beat Rutgers 1st team squad. Ohio State may have it covered after the first half.

i don't have a big opinion on minnesota @ iowa but isn't a classic "letdown" spot that many people love so much.

did ohio state run it up vs maryland yesterday because of chase young suspension?

not sure what rutgers has done since getting the BC transfer QB. he was great his first game.. if he plays with running ability, i would think that makes rutgers a good pick

umass has been disaster but i thought i noticed they did relatively well yesterday.,

honestly, by this time of the season, opening spreads aren't too far off power ratings (of course, maybe not huge spreads, and power ratings don't account for major injuries)....

i'm too lazy to check but where are baylor/minnesota in AP?

looked at all 3 more closely.

season long power rating has iowa 4 points better.. and then HFA.......... recent play minny = better.

umass was horrendous yesterday vs. army. maybe i saw early score or simply wrong.

rutgers is interesting.. they might be able to run the ball some. maybe score. eat up the clock some..... i do think big point spread ATS is highly beatable with alot of work.
