Hit on the upset of the week with the Gamecocks last week and going back to the well again this Saturday. Typically this would be a fade spot when a team is coming off a huge upset but there are some factors I like in SC’s favor. Florida is coming off two monster games in a row — two weeks ago they knocked off Auburn at home and then last week they couldn’t quite keep up with LSU in Death Valley. That’s a grueling stretch and they really can’t afford to bring anything short of their A or A- game here if they want to return home with a win. South Carolina has been trending in the right direction for a little while now. They got off to a shaky start but I think they’ve finally got the confidence they need to be a force in the SEC East especially after last week’s win. If they were facing a lesser opponent I think they’d be vulnerable but I expect the Gamecocks to be ready to go and have a great shot at pulling off back to back upsets.
Utah -13.5 -110 (3x)
Look for the Utes to pull away in this one. In my opinion, Arizona State has overachieved a bit to a 5-1 record. I expect Utah to wear down ASU on the ground now that the backfield is back in tact and to shut down the Sun Devil offense.
