    GA Tech +36
I know Clemson is good.....but 36 is A LOT of points against a rebuilding yet well motivated ACC team...am I crazy for thinking that 21-28 is the right number for Clemson?

Seems high to me too but every single time I bet against Clemson to cover they do! Personally staying away.

Depends on how long they keep Lawrence in. If they take him out early 3rd Ga.Tech could cover, but Dabo likes to keep his foot on the gas most of the time!!

classic GT team, you are correct that this is a no-brainer underdog pick... BUT....

OP, u realize GT has made enormous changes this off-season?.. moving from 90% running (option??) to, i believe, a pass attack.

of course, they don't have the personnel to do this in one season..

here are a few reasons why clemson seems like such a good favorite (beyond the obvious of clemson being high-powered and having stud reserves too)

          1) i love big underdogs........ but they need to be able to score... old GT would have scored some vs. Clemson... they won't score much at all in this game. other than maybe ultra-backdoor

          2) old GT offense would run the game clock down. keep possession alot..... not sure if GT embraced 4 down football i.e. going for it on 4th and 2, and planning beforehand for that............ clemson will have the ball alot more in this game. could be 70+ points themselves

it's hard to fathon that 34 point spread is nowhere near enough vs. a solid program like GT, but that's how it appears to me..... and as i alluded to, i love huge underdogs in general

NOTE: i have not checked GT returning D starters. it will matter some

Georgia Tech returns less starters on defense (3-4) than they do on offense (4-5). That is the formula for a disaster. The line is now up to -37 in some shops in Vegas.
