MWC Kicked Out of Las Vegas Bowl

Old news, New LA stadium bowl is better venue anyway. Las Vegas bowl got sick of watching PAC-12 get their asses handed to them by Boise ST & Fresno ST

Can the B.S. arsehole. The MWC was kicked out because their teams and the conference itself is worthless. Boise State is a 4 point dog to a mediocre Florida State team and Fresno State is a 10 1/2 point dog to a poor USC team. It is time for you to put up or shut up big mouth. Putting the drama aside...

I'm not sure this is such a big upgrade for Vegas. The old Las Vegas Bowl brought tens of thousands of fans to town during the deadest time of year. The new Las Vegas bowl will get a lot more exposure, but it will take place during one of the busiest times of year when hotels are sold out anyway. Outside of tv income, the football fans will only be replacing the tourists partying post-Christmas.

Hopefully Vegas will get a 2nd bowl game featuring BYU or the MWC champ against somebody decent pre-Christmas. If Dallas can have 4 bowl games and Orlando 3, Vegas could definitely handle 2 games.

The new LA bowl will feature the Pac-12 against the Mountain West. This is basically the old Las Vegas Bowl matchup with the bowl getting the first selection from the Mountain West against a Pac-12 team. The Los Angeles Stadium at Hollywood Park opens in 2020 and will also host the 2023 College Football Playoff title game. This bowl is huge for the Mountain West, especially after its 19-year tie-in with the Las Vegas Bowl ends after this season.

So let me understand this. The Bowl will get the BEST that the MWC has to offer against the low man on the Pac 12 Totem Pole. That should draw 25,000 fans, maybe. ANY Bowl Game is huge for the MWC because they are such a s**tty conference.
