Effective 2020, the Las Vegas Bowl will feature the Pac 12 against the Big 10 in Odd numbered years and the SEC in Even numbered years. The Big 10 is also swapping the Cheeze it Bowl and the Holiday Bowl. The Big 12 will most likely play the pac 12 in the Holiday Bowl. No mention is made of what the MWC will do now that they are out of the Las Vegas Bowl. A guess is the First Responder Bowl.

Putting the drama aside...
I'm not sure this is such a big upgrade for Vegas. The old Las Vegas Bowl brought tens of thousands of fans to town during the deadest time of year. The new Las Vegas bowl will get a lot more exposure, but it will take place during one of the busiest times of year when hotels are sold out anyway. Outside of tv income, the football fans will only be replacing the tourists partying post-Christmas.
Hopefully Vegas will get a 2nd bowl game featuring BYU or the MWC champ against somebody decent pre-Christmas. If Dallas can have 4 bowl games and Orlando 3, Vegas could definitely handle 2 games.Comment -
