The fake punt was a fine call. Chris Peterson gets praised by everyone in the world for having balls and calling unorthodox plays (I still maintain calling a halfback pass on 4th and 2 in OT was incredibly stupid when you have Z and IJ, and he is very, very lucky that the RB made a perfect pass). The only difference is his plays worked.
When you're a 10 point dog, you can call that. If LSU had done it, maybe it would have been boneheaded, but Weis is playing to win.
