45* LSU -2.5 (ending on Teasers)
20* LSU ML -360 (ending on Parlays)
10* LSU -7.5 -110 (wagered when lines came out)
10* LSU -7 (ending on Parlays)
5* LSU -3 (ending on some teasers)
5* LSU TT Over 32.5 -108
5* LSU -4.5 (1st Half)
When I heard LSU was scheduled to play ND I almost came..
IMO LSU is the most talented team in the country playing a team that lacks talent especially on the defensive side. I would bet this LSU team against Ohio State so seeing that their playing a joke of a team with slow ass players on defense you know I'm going to get excited..
Let's look at what Notre Dames defense did versus quality offenses this season:
Michigan scored 47 points
Michigan St scored 37 points
Purdue scored 21 points (490 Total Off Yds)
USC scored 44 points
No reason to believe LSU won't have success on the offensive side of the ball with Russell,Bowe,Davis and Boucet..
Jamarcus Russell has only thrown 7 INTs this season and 6 of them were against Florida and Tenn on the road.. Pretty interesting wouldn't you say?? Strongly doubt that ND defense will create many TOs..
A lot of people will say Notre Dames strength is in their offense.. Well LSU has the 3rd ranked defense in the nation...
(From CBSsportsline) Against Michigan, Michigan State, UCLA and USC, the Irish averaged 55.5 yards rushing, they become one dimensional when playing an above average defense.. LSU is an above average defense and I believe it's safe to say LSU has a better defense than all of those teams mentioned..
LSU has outscored their opponets 122-20 in the 1st QTR...
Notre Dames offensive line is avg at best and LSU D-Line with Pittman will be attacking..
This game is being played at the very LOUD SUPERDOME which is located in New Orleans Lousiana (LSU=Lousiana State University)
Superdome will only showcase LSUs dominate team speed in here as well...
Don't worry about LSU being up for this game, here is some quotes from some of the players and staff:
"We are doing this for the state," senior receiver Dwayne Bowe said. "After what Katrina did to this city, we are going to put on a show."
"This game has tremendous implications," Les Miles said. "It's a national game. It's a game that has long-range implications. I think the impressions that can be made will be made for quite some time in what could be a voting public.
"I think when you go into a viewing audience's home in prime time and you represent LSU, certainly there would be a number of young men that are great prospects that'll say, 'Boy, I think it'd be great to play there,' and probably more than anything it's about finishing this year for a great group of seniors."
LSU is sending out 22 seniors here and a few of them are headed to the NFL.. I don't think LSU is going to fuk around here.. Strongly doubt it..
And here is the icing on the cake..
ND hasn't won a bowl game since 1994...
Jan. 2, 2006 Fiesta Bowl-- Ohio St. 34, Notre Dame 20 (-14)
Dec. 28, 2004 Insight Bowl-- Oregon St. 38, Notre Dame 21 (-17)
Jan. 1, 2003 Gator Bowl-- N.C. State 28, Notre Dame 6 (-22)
Jan. 1, 2001 Fiesta Bowl-- Oregon St. 41, Notre Dame 9 (-32)
Jan. 1, 1999 Gator Bowl-- Georgia Tech 35, Notre Dame 28 (-7)
Dec. 28, 1997 Independence Bowl-- LSU 27, Notre Dame 9 (-18)
Jan. 1, 1996 Orange Bowl-- Florida St. 31, Notre Dame 26 (-5)
Jan. 2, 1995 Fiesta Bowl-- Colorado 41, Notre Dame 24 (-17)
Jan. 1, 1994 Cotton Bowl-- Notre Dame 24, Texas A&M 21
Jan. 1, 1993 Cotton Bowl-- Notre Dame 28, Texas A&M 3
Jan. 1, 1992 Sugar Bowl-- Notre Dame 39, Florida 28
Jan. 1, 1991 Orange Bowl-- Colorado 10, Notre Dame 9
Jan. 1, 1990 Orange Bowl-- Notre Dame 21, Colorado 6
Jan. 2, 1989 Fiesta Bowl-- Notre Dame 34, West Virginia 21
Jan. 1, 1988 Cotton Bowl-- Texas A&M 35, Notre Dame 10
Dec. 29, 1984 Aloha Bowl-- Southern Methodist 27, Notre Dame 20
Dec. 29, 1983 Liberty Bowl-- Notre Dame 19, Boston College 18
Jan. 1, 1981 Sugar Bowl-- Georgia 17, Notre Dame 10
Jan. 1, 1979 Cotton Bowl-- Notre Dame 35, Houston 34
Jan. 2, 1978 Cotton Bowl-- Notre Dame 38, Texas 10
Dec. 27, 1976 Gator Bowl-- Notre Dame 20, Penn St. 9
Jan. 1, 1975 Orange Bowl-- Notre Dame 13, Alabama 11
Dec. 31, 1973 Sugar Bowl-- Notre Dame 24, Alabama 23
Jan. 1, 1973 Orange Bowl-- Nebraska 40, Notre Dame 6
Jan. 1, 1971 Cotton Bowl-- Notre Dame 24, Texas 11
Jan. 1, 1970 Cotton Bowl-- Texas 21, Notre Dame 17
Jan. 1, 1925 Rose Bowl-- Notre Dame 27, Stanford 10
So as you can see Notre Dame has major problems playing quailty teams. This is a horrible matchup for the Irish they will not be able to keep up with LSUs team speed especially with this game being played in the SUPERDOME.. Expect ND to be forced into a one dimensional offense and the smothering LSU defense to be the major difference in this game..
LSU is better than Notre Dame in every facet of the game.. There is nothing LSU can do better than Notre Dame.. Some people have said that ND has a big coaching advantage here, but I beg to differ.. What has Weis done that is so special? He has been blown out numerous times he has lost at home by 26pts to a Llyod Carr coached team.. What makes him so special???
LSU is a complete standout in here if you like defense then you like LSU!!!
This is one of my best bets of all time..
Good luck!!!
Feedback always appreciated!!
