Alabama offered him a deal estimated at 8-10 years for $40 million.

This was being speculated for quite some time now. The latest I heard on this story is the fish owner Wayne Huizenga refused to renegotiate Saban's contract, and has gave him till tomorrow to make a decision.

Being from LSU and a season ticket holder, I never did get the opportunity to meet Mrs.Saban put they tell me she just loved it here in Baton Rouge. Love being in the south. I know for a fact that some people from here that know her and they still stay in touch say she hates Miami. Can't stand it. Wants to leave something terrible. So if his wife has any input, as I am sure she does, then welcome him Bama fans. You are getting a good one but don't look for LSU to go easy on you

saban sounded like he really enjoyed the college atmosphere molding young football players aside from the fact he isn't to use to losing.
alabama should be a good fit for him he is a defensive minded coach and alabama has a very good defense in my opinion

I mean seriously...is saban all that. I grew up an MSU fan and then was at MSU when he was coach there. Outside of 1999 season most of his time at MSU was very unspectacular and his defenses tanked big time in the big games....then he goes to LSU wins a national championship and he becomes the greatest coach ever or some coaching genius...he goes to the NFL and has done nothing.

I am sorry...Saban is a good coach and all but the money he is commanding is beyond ridiculous. To me, other candidates out there would be just as good if not better for the Alabama program. David Cuttlife would be a good fit...even Paul Johnson would be a nice fit.

                    Saban takes Alabama job

Moving on the sports wires. Dolphins are fortunate to get rid of this guy. He did a lousy job picking players and coaching. Most overrated coach in sports. Why this guy commands a fortune is beyond me. Hope Alabams goes 5-6 every year. What a jerk.

For college basketball comparison, he kinda reminds me of Eddie Fogler. Remember in the 1990s, Fogler changed jobs every couple of years and every time a job opened his name was mentioned. No idea where's he's at now, but he was as overrated as Saban.

The last I heard of Eddie Fogler, he was broadcasting games for Fox Sports Net.

Let's see ... dishonest, underhanded, shady - yeah, Satan is a perfect fit for Alabama.
