Taking the favorite in a moneyline bet
Does anybody else hate when people do this in football and basketball? ( Baseball is different since a moneyline is the only possible bet.)

I consider this to be so cowardly. When you bet, you are not supposed to bet on something that has a 75% chance of happening to happen.

When you bet on the favorite, you are supposed to take the spread.

Well, If I make money by taking ml and lose or push by spread, I rather take ml. Nothing wrong with taking ml on small fav or parlaying couple -300 favs. In the end all that matters is that you made money.

Do you have any idea at all about wagering? This is one of the dumbest posts I have ever read. When you wager, the ONLY thing that matters is winning. If you are worried about being cowardly, you are going to lose your arse. You are the type of player that lines my pockets with money. What kind of stupid statement is: "When you bet on the favorite, you are suppose to take the spread." Who'se bible did you read that in? I strongly suggest that in the future, you think out what you are going to say.

Depends on game/value. And, I don't think its "cowardly"-----

I have created multiple threads explaining why you should NEVER take points (+1, +1.5, +2).

But it comes down to what a gambler feels comfortable with.

Who really takes the points when it’s less than 2?

95% of the guys who create threads on this subforum.

            I am not joking.

I have seen no less than 10 guys-- who had season-long threads listing bets with +1.5, and +2.
