I've already got a 2 unit wager on Va Tech... I know both teams have great defenses, but I think 2.5 is a little low here... 3 of UGA's 4 losses were close except their blowout at the hands of TENN... I still think Va Tech is the play here... They won on the road against a solid Wake Forest team 27-6... 6 game winning streak coming into this game... I think Beamer ball will be in overdrive for this one! HOKIES are my play!

i get virginia tech to win by .50 to 13.90 points with my line at vt -7.20 and the spread at vt -2 1/2.
vt will probably win and the win will probably be by at least 3. vt came out 2 points under the spread at -.50 but the fact that vt can win by 13.90 outweighs the -.50.

I am going off in a little different direction here and taking the over. Both defenses are pretty good, or capable I should say, and we know Beamers special teams and what they are about. I see alot of special team plays, blocked punts,etc...that will put each team around the others goal line. Just a weird hunch but I see some turnovers and punt returns and some exciting special teams play. Nothing firm to back this lay so if the weather is good I can see this total going over

Virginia Tech is the best team in the ACC, i don't care who's in the Orange Bowl. Georgia isn't very good, Tech's defense and special teams are dominate. I'm not buying the 'home advantage' either. Tech travels well and plays good on the road anyway.

Guys, getting points with Georgia here is truly a steal. They have more talent and much better athletes across the field and Richt is, in my opinion, the premier head coach in college football.

Maybe I'm a little biased being in SEC country, but Georgia has the talent of a top 10 team, and VT has done nothing to impress me. They've been beating up on creampuffs, muffins, and cupcakes all season, but now they step out of the bakery and play a team that is every bit their equal from a toughness standpoint, and has much, much better athletes. Glennon is a joke, and while it isn't often that Beamer isn't the best coach on the field, Richt is just the best there is.

Man I really lean VT here. I went to that Georgia/Col game and believe me as a COl alum, WE ARE HORRIBLE! I still haven't figured out how we lost that game. But I did cash my ticket with the points. Sure Georgia is in the SEC, but that line of reasoning didn't work so well in that Bama game. Middle of the road SEC team versus a top ACC team, I'll lay the chalk.

I have got Georgia -2. VT has done nothing really to impress me this year but they certainly are capable. It scares me but I will take the points with the bulldogs. Ga. defense has some talent and is very good so we will see....

I'm not trying to be cocky about this play at all, but I think so too Razz.

The Bulldogs are clearly the better team here, and basically are playing at home too boot. Why the public is backing VT in this game is a bit puzzling to me.

Tell me about it. These bowl games are a joke. I got Texas Tech @ -6.5 and assumed that was a gimmee. I thought Houston covering was a gimmee. Hell, I can't believe TExas is losing right now! ARGH!!

This game had me scared to death at halftime though I must admit. I thought for sure I was gonna lose this game for sure, but VT just fell apart in the 2nd half.
