i sense/heard the USC admin and AD would favour his return in most ways BUT that will be a tough sell to the alumni and ticket buying public.
fox radio mentioned that he won pac12 last year and made rose bowl two years ago. but to quote Janet Jackson, "yes, but what have you done for me lately?"
i was an NBA season ticket holder for years and i always sensed that many of my team's major moves had to be implicitly approved by the season ticket holding base i.e. how do you justify trading X player when he's on the cover of your yearbook and is one of the most exciting players in the league? (and then lo and behold he sucks 2 years later, which i'm pretty sure management foresaw to a moderate degree)
i would further question what USC has actually accomplished going back to the late 70's outside of the pete carroll and clay helton years
