i can't believe the NE spread. patriots don't strike me as high powered. you need a team with a dominant WR for a huge spread vs. alabama (think calvin johnson on thanksgiving a few years ago vs. st louis)

my initial thought is that the spreads wouldn't vary that much vs. NFL teams. and i think the oddsmaker who took a stab at it and i think said 28.5 got it right. anyway, mid to high 20's for me vs. worst nfl team and not that much variation vs. best teams
