Some fear that Colorado may be looking ahead to next weeks game at USC, but when you are picked to finish 5th in the conference, you do not overlook anyone. Arizona State has come back down to earth after upsetting Big 10 foe Mchigan State at home in the desert. Who knows how bad the Big10 really is this season, but they certainly are not nearly as good as last season. Arizona State is 1-2 since that game, with both losses coming on the road. Colorado is the better team, especially in that mile high altitude.

Situational is part of the equation, but certainly not all of it. I look at the fact that Arizona State started off surprisingly well this season. Arizona State also has an edge as far as trends go. They are 2-7 ATS vs State in their last 9 efforts. What gets overlooked is Colorado's two covers both came at home in their past two games in Colorado. I see this as a 6-7 point game. Herman's name cut the line down too much. ASU will be very happy to get into a Bowl Game this season and that is far from a lock. This is almost a "must" win for ASU with games against Stanford, at USC Utah, and at Oregon coming up, and the season finale at Arizona. The only sure winner they have left on the schedule is pathetic UCLA.Comment
