Big Ten Report Week 1 with two weekday Locks

I'm in Indy and a Indiana grad. I always stay on top of the B10....atleast until Indiana is eliminated from bowl contention....which is often.


Some feelings about the openers.


Minnesota (-21) over NM State. I jumped on Minn -19.5 after watching a couple offensive series from NM State. They suck and they got physically beat up by Wyoming. Not to mention they're flying halfway across the country to play on 5 days rest? The row the oars guy for Minn is overrated and they're nothing special, but they'll beat the shit out of these guys

44-10 Gophers

Wisconsin/W Kentucky Over 51. I used to clean up on these type of plays with Indiana and Wisconsin. Mich. St was another one vs the Hoosiers. The totals would be in the low 50s and all Indiana had to do was score 7 points usually....if that? That was back in the day of Monte Ball. The Badgers are loaded and even their dorky lefty QB is pretty decent. They'll have 31+ by half. Hopefully WKy gets some garbage at some point. Absolutely love this one!! This is my biggest play of the week!!!!

Leans at this point:

Northwestern ML +120 over Purdue. Purdue only has 1 return w/experience at LB and Northwestern returns a good defense and 4 of their O-line along with an experienced QB. Their kicker is accurate too and it should be a close game. Not playing this one yet although I like the value

Also like Florida International +10.5 over Indiana. Indiana is only returning 3-4 guys on defense and FIU isn't that bad. I do think Indiana will improve and has some good young talent, but this should be a tough one for them.

App State +24 over Penn State. McSorley is really good and PS will overcome losing Barkley, App State is just one of those teams that doesn't beat themselves and makes plays. I have this one on several parlays

Another one from a non-B10 midwest team. Cincinnati / UCLA Over 61. Chip Kelly is back!! They play fast and score plus defense is optional for UCLA. They were horrrrible last year on D.

Well I see some of the lines are moving like I thought.

The Wisconsin/W Kentucky total is up to 52.5 now.

UCLA/Cincinnati is up to 64

Purdue is down to 1 or 1.5 over Northwestern

I played a little on Minnesota and more on UCLA Over 61, but my big play is Wisconsin Over 51! 52.5 is still pretty solid...because 53 is a key number!

I normally don't play big in the beginning of the season, but the more I look at this game, the more I feel like I have a good read on it. Wisconsin is #4 in the nation which is the highest I can ever remember preseason? They heard all the complaining last year (rightfully) that they didn't beat anyone when they were 11-0 or whatever. They don't want to hear about how they're overrated after they come out and sleepwalk thru a 31-14 win. They're going to put the hammer down on these guys! I don't lay huge points and never will, but the total is even easier imo! I think they'll also want to get their RB Jonathan Taylor some early hype for the Heisman. He's for real and their O-line is always massive! Add to that....the Badgers have 7 new starters on D and W Ky has promised to play more up-tempo like they did when they were scoring so many points 2 years ago. If I'm lucky then WKy will hit a big play early and make it 7-7 or something?
I see something like 54-14 or 48-10 at a minimum. Hell they beat my Hoosiers 83-20 or something a few years ago. They were tied with Utah State 10-10 at half in their opener last year and won 59-10. Once they beat down your Dline then its going to get ugly!

Get 52.5 before it goes up more!!!

As a Badger, I could see the Over getting there. Don't like the -36 at all. NOw more than 5TDs, and I've never seen an OffLine get more pre-season Interviews.

Thanks fellas. I ended up taking NW +120 for a little bit....not much. I think Purdue will take a small step back this year. Their schedule is tougher and they ran alot of trick plays last years and teams will be ready for them this year.

I play most of them, but sometimes the line moves against me and I don't like the new line. For instance I'm on UCLA/Cincy Over 61 for like $75. I was going to bet more but now its 64. I play alot of Overs and I look for those key numbers! 63-64 are big numbers. Like I put another $100 on Wisc Over 52.5 because 52 isn't a likely total. To me 51 or 52.5 are about the same except you could push with 51. I feel great about that one though. Wisc looking to impress and also 7 new starters defensively. They could have a few breakdowns defensively early like Purdue tonite. Purdue with 7 new starters I think.

Just get to 24 at half and not sitting that bad. QB will be warm and they'll get 14 in the 3rd then put the backups in. A couple garbage TDs and squeak it out. I really thought W Ky could put together atleast 1-2 big plays against a Wisc D with alot of new guys, but they suck

Think it WKU can somehow get to 14 then the game should be close.. You can see Wisky starting to impose their will some on offense.. think they can get 20+ in the 2nd half.. Maybe they just flip a switch and put up 35 and cover it by themselves

Just put a nice play on over 21.5 for the 2nd half.. Really banking on WKU getting something here.. going to be puckering the next 30 min for sure
