What type of bettor are you?

As a member. I've seen alot of different posters.
1 have a gut feeling
2 fade the public especially when it's a lock
3 a time bettor. Win early lose late. Vice versa. Dont chase. Don't be Greedy
4 there are some good cappers on here. If you find they aren't on the side you think. Pass

Depends on the sport for me. NFL im mostly power numbers and fading the public. College is a culmination of all of the above, plus looking at the emotional factors like look ahead/let down angles

i like all of the off-season phil steele type analysis.. but something like returning starters, i think too many people look at it now. so you need to either: 1) filter it, 2) selectively go against it.

i like terrible teams improving and fading good teams getting much worse... basically momentum i suppose.

lots of different things. i think college football is ultimately a feel thing. whereas nfl and nba are very quantifiable (and in nba's case, often quite arbitrary as to short term ATS win/loss)

i like selective big underdogs. partially because you have 2 ways to win (play well and deserve the cover, backdoor cover). of course, this is likely priced into spread but it makes me feel better. and it's definitely going against joe public. at least i think.

I think a successful capper needs to be able to use parts from each type you listed. They all have pluses and minuses.

Early, I like to find a team that finds a way to lose no matter what or how. Tulsa this year. I have found that a bad team plays bad every game. Good teams can have let downs. Don't look just for good teams to bet on. Find a bad college team or two and pound the opponents! Kids these days give up and don't play hard for their coaches. It's their way of blaming the coach for them sucking. GL
