I had on the FSU SM bowl game coming up and no way am I typing all that again
in short I’ll say this
go over the inactive players list on Florida St
half the players have have been out for many games leading up to this one
many of the remaining ones were not contributing whatsoever anyways
The only 3 key guys are 3 defensive starters , this is true
but Florida St most likely can get by with depth as the teams they
face are in the ACC , the team they are facing today is a team that
has gathered their record and stats in the Conference USA west standings
Riddle me this , how many times do you think this Southern Miss
team has went up against a offensive line that has 6 players
that are 6’7 or taller, Florida St has two running backs that
are averaging close to 6 yards combined each carry . and I checked
the box scores, they are putting up 100 yard games a piece against
legit teams in the ACC .
Now Southern Miss has been decent at defense but this is against
others team who lack the physicality like they themselves do
they without a shadow of doubt are undersized, just look quickly
on the roster chart, takes a minute at the most...and are succeptable
pat giving up the big plays , especially as the game goes on
The interim coach of Florida St is preaching pounding the
rock at a insane clip . Take that for what you will but the FSU QB
jersey should be pretty clean by the end of the game and that is key as well
So let’s talk about the trio of FSU starters that aren’t playing
would you rather have guys who are super hungry athletes to
be playing or guys who have talent but are lethargic and would rather
not be on the field durng snaps ..... take that as well for what you will
Now , a 17 Point spread is down to 12 and still dropping
so Im going to wait to see just how low it will go
but what seems like a big spread and a completely riddled team
might look a lot dif then what you envisioned entering the 4th quarter
So Miss does have talent and from what I gathered has put up
b2b seasons of improvement , but I think the play here
is Florida St , especially if line comes close to -10.5
Im taking them regardless for at least a unit but will wait
and hope for the perfect scenario of 1 of my 4 books
to drop it down to possibly 10.5 then buy a half point for cheap
i know it prolly wont reach -10.5but I’m waiting until I see a line change
in the wrong direction
Overall my other write up was better and this one is on iPad and sloppy
but unless Fl St turns the ball over 3 times or more I see them winning by around
14 to 17 points . Or at least surpassing the two touchdown lead
and So Miss being the team on last drive or two trying to backdoor
a cover against Fl St
