Love me some La Tech!! They were my 2 biggest bowl bet winners in the past 2 seasons!

They lost a ton of offense from last year, but they're a solid lower tier program (like Marshall for example)

6-6 but 3 losses by 1 point! Also 4-1 ATS on the road this year. Skip Holtz has done a good job with them and they've won 3 straight bowls SU. They have 3 pick-6s in the last 6 games and a good turnover differential of +7.

The main reason I like LT though...is some of the situational factors working against SMU. They just hired Sonny Dykes on Dec. 11 so he's brand new to their kids. They're 3-4 since Sept with all 3 wins coming by 3,3, and 4 pts. They can't put people away because their D is so terrible! It will be like Dykes is still in Cal! Last game they gave 38 pts and 485 yards to Tulane. Tulane only scored more then 28 in 1 other game all year and only 21.8 ppg in their previous 6 games.


Make no mistake...SMU has more offensive firepower but LT can control the clock better. LT has the better defense and their kids are bowl experienced with a better comfort level with their coaches

If you like LA Tech...better move fast? Line is down to 3.5. You can still get 4.5 (-115) at Bovada. I don't like it as much as San Diego over Army, but the situational edge is def with LA Tech

Over seems safer, Tech couldnt beat my Blazers who just got a team back after 2 years and arnt good despite their 8-4 record in a very weak conference.

Well before the UAB loss they beat W Ky on the road and only loss to S. Carolina on the road by 1 pt in back to back road trips. Actually I' fading SMU and the coaching upheaval and horrible D more then anything. 3-4 since Sept SU with 3,3, and 4 pt wins. I'm +5

I also bet Boston Scott over 80.5 rush yards (-150). Banking on tech running all over smu and trying to keep their offense off the field if possible

I like it. I sort of forgot about those props for college, but sometimes theyre easy to beat! I remember maxing $500 on Kirk Cousins Over 245 passing -130 or whatever on Bovada in the B10 Championship vs Wisc. He threw for like 350

I hear ya bro. My Blazers gave a 1-11 Charlotte their only win on the season. I think your reasons are sharp for taking La Tech, theyll prob be more hungry in this game also, SMU is pretty turnover prone with a bad defense, just gonna come down to if La Tech can turn them over and get not let them extend drives I guess. Havent seen much of SMU but stats say they light it up on offense, prob run a hurry up offense and until this year were 8-36 from 2014-2016. I put $50 on the over just for action, gonna watch some and see if a side if worthy live.

I think taking seniors at skill positions is a decent bet if they juice isnt too crazy, coaches will most likely try and showcase those guys, especially if they are on the outskirts of maybe getting on an NFL team, practice squad, senior bowl or whatever.
