Is Akron the biggest dog in bowl history? I can't find a line bigger than 18.5.

I do not see a bigger underdog in an FBS Bowl either. I do see 4 bigger dogs in the FCS Playoffs and interestingly the enormous favorites covered every time in 4 blowouts.

I'm still learning SDQL, so this may not be right, but I see 7 bowl games of 17+ points. Dogs covered 4 of the 7 and won two SU.

But FCS Playoff games are played on home fields, so it's not surprising to see some higher numbers.
