    Early Plays for 2018
Real simple. Fade the team that Chip Kelly ends up with in 2018. it doesn't matter which team it is. Whoever it is will be way over rated. As a rule, head coaches who go from college to pro and back to college have a bad time in college the second time around. The one obvious exception is Alabama HC Nick Saban. The list of coaches who have flopped the 2nd time around include Steve Spurrier, Mike Riley, Dennis Erickson, Bobby Petrino, and John Robinson. Coaches who come back to the college ranks are remembered for the successes they had in the college ranks. What normally happens is that the game passes them by. Guys in here love to talk about Kelly's successes at Oregon, but that was years ago. The rest of the Pac 12, as well as the nation, has caught up with that type of offense. The problem for Kelly is that he knows nothing about defenses, and that is what will cost him no matter where he goes this time around. A familiar offense plus no defensive knowledge does not make for a successful team. Vegas knows how Joe Pub thinks, and adjusts to this, making lines that are very favorable to the faders, especially early on.
