According to statfox Alabama wins by 9 (Alabama#1 with a 68 p.rating -vs- Auburn#7 with a 56 p.rating) giving auburn another 4 for home field gives them a total of 59. (68-59=9) the line is -4 so technically you have 5 points of value on that play. The problem from a pro perspective is normally but not written in stone but maybe the occasional 1/2 unit play could be warranted on a play like this. Betting against teams that are ranked better than the top 45 is highly discouraged and long term is not going to be fruitful so why do it ,regardless that the team your with is #1??
..The better bet this week on like the situational type play like Alabama would be West Virginia getting +21-+23 depending on the book.
