So many other variables involved in these Bowl games it seems compared to reg. season. Reg. season is pretty straight forward; teams have a routine & just play their ass off every week to get into a Bowl game that may not be the one they were playing for, so now everything they worked for is really for nothing(other than the $'s for the university). What seperates teams at Bowl season?
Variables affecting teams at Bowl season vs. reg. season:
1. "Student Athletes" are tired & possibly injured
2. Stale time - players lose focus, get lazy, etc.
3. Holiday hooplah going on with family & friends.
4. Loss of motivation to perform at 100%
Possible variables for Bowl game winners:
1. Teams where their hometown completely revolves around the team. Pride comes into play no matter which Bowl it is. Which ones are these? Nebraska, LSU(entire state is about their team I think), who else?
2. Teams with alot of NFL draft bound Seniors looking to improve their chances or worth with a great game? Anyone?
3. Being the "Dog" with something to prove?
4. I'm going to bed, anyone else got any thoughts on any of this?
