Things went from bad to worse for Baylor on Saturday following their stunning loss to Liberty. Bears coach Matt Rhule told reporters after the game that redshirt sophomore running back JaMycal Hasty suffered an MCL sprain and would miss at least 3-4 weeks.
Rhule also said the Hasty would be re-evaluated Sunday.
Hasty, who was the only returning scholarship running back on Baylor’s roster, rushed for 56 yards on 11 carries and a touchdown in the 48-45 upset loss. Arizona transfer Anu Solomon led the Bears with 97 yards on six carries and John Lovett had 14 carries for 89 yards and two touchdowns, aided by a 34-yard score late in the fourth quarter.
