Pags, I don't suppose you know the covering % of dogs in the bowl games over say that last 5-10 years do you? Thanks for posting your plays this year, i've learned a hell of a lot.

I always play underdogs in these bowl games. Three dogs jump out at me. Texas A&M, Georgia Tech and Alabama.

Georgia Tech's defense is terrific, and the best remedy for their awful offense could be the awful West Virginia defense.

Texas A&M could be 10-1 with a little luck. They lost two 1-point games to Nebraska and Oklahoma and played terrific to beat Texas.

Alabama will improve instantly with Mike Shula gone. The defensive coordinator likely won't get the job, but the players will want to have him stick for the next coach, so they will likely play hard for him in this bowl game.

I'm not sure of the exact percentage over the last five years, but last year I was 3-3 with my favorite plays and 15-5 with my underdog plays...thank you...keep up the good work yourself as well...GL...

pags- first let me congratulate you on your new exalted status over at Covers.

second- let me congratulate you on your win over The Prick last week.

finally- I just scrolled thru your pix because I see no hurry to bet on these games myself, and more plus than minus in waiting before investing. I agree with your 'go lightly' BTW. I will come back later and judge your selections after I make my tentative decisions.

'What's the hurry" ? These games are not going to go away. There's weeks left to decide. If you care to explain, I'd love to hear it, and win em all- baby. !!

pretty much any dog on the ML at say a 1/5 unit is worth a shot...just make sure they aren't big units...

also thanks regarding beating the prick...we'll see how I fare now since I know nothing about the NFL...

regarding the bowl game picks...this is the second year I've done it right when the lines came out...my feeling is that I've had 14 weeks to learn about these teams, and since I'm not betting a whole lot on these games (compared to what I did in the regular season), my plan is to go on first instinct...also, it helps me clear my head and focus on college hoops...the two to three week stretch where I have to cap both college hoops and college football gets to be a little much...I've felt a lot better with my stress level since I made my bowl picks...hit me up with anything else you have and GL during the bowl season...

I like the plays... Dogs do very well in Bowl games, especially dd dogs.

UCLA... not only did the knock of USC, but they are part of the toughest conference (Pac 10) in NCAAF. If you pick one favorite, I like them, especially against a perennially overrated Florida State this year.

I wouldn't mind seeing a few of those reasons here if you're down with that. I have no faith in ND, never have all season long, same as USC. Thinking of riding LSU on this one.

VEry very interesting, pags. I find myself doing the same thing over the course of the season with my 1-AA plays, which are by far my most successful.

I'm liking FSU here. Bowden is still amazing in bowl games, as evidenced again last year when taking an inferior team into the Orange Bowl and almost beating Penn State.

I liked the way FSU played against Florida. They were down 14-0 early and could have quit but didn't. If they lose they'll finish 6-7 for a losing season.

UCLA may have a letdown. They won their big game against USC.
