Anyone else here this one this morning?

There are some reports out there this morning that are saying Larry Coker got fired today.

A very class guy I must say. Answering all the Q's the media threw at him and was on the podium for a minute.

they didn't wait very long...I didn't think Erin Andrews displayed a whole lot of class hammering him like that after the game yesterday...

Coker will coach their bowl game if they are selected.

Personally I feel thats a bad move for the Canes to let him coach the bowl game. How does the school expect Coker to get any respect from his players in this game.

Totally agree dan, no way they can let him coach a bowl game after waiting about 2 seconds after the season ended to fire him. Personally, I don't think miami should be allowed to go to a bowl after the brawl incident.

I think Coker is a good enough person. However, he has let his program get way out of control. I think it is reminiscient (sp?) of the Switzer Oklahoma days. I still don't think this Miami team stacks up to Switzer's Oklahoma as far as "lack of institutional control" is concerned or the SMU team that got banned from participation for however many years. Switzer's Oklahoma is the gold standard in my opinion.

I've never seen a coach at a big name program lose his team so quickly (took about a year)...
