why would a #1 team be underdogs vs anyone else...doesnt make sense....if there were dogs they shouldnt be ranked 1st

That is what I was asking myself when I saw WSEX put up OSU to win the National Championship at +100, but once I saw the betting was paused, I mentioned to ignore the original post and question.
