    RIP Rashaan Salaam
Rashaan Salaam, who won the Heisman Trophy in 1994, has died, a family spokesperson said Tuesday. Salaam was 42.

    RIP

didn't realize he was youngest NFLer to 1,000 yards rushing (at least at the time)..........

doing this off the top of my head but San Diego high schools produced at least 4 heisman trophy winners - Salaam, Ricky Williams, Marcus Allen, Reggie Bush... and Terrell Davis as Super Bowl MVP...............and it never strikes me as a place with a massive african-american population but i probably don't know.

add in Alex Smith, Bill Walton and Phil Mickelson and that's massive athletic firepower........... Alex Smith and Reggie Bush went #1 and #2 in NFL draft and played at same HS.

Maybe SD has (or had) one of those Bishop Gormon type schools where parents relocate to when their kids a star, who knows.

Salaam was a good dude. RIP.
