Should we have a rematch for the National Championship or should Florida, Arkansas, USC, Notre Dame, or even Rutgers get a shot if they run the table?

#2I"d wouldn't mind seeing a rematch of this game at all. Infact, if Michigan lost this game about 3 to 4 weeks ago, we would be seeing it and wouldn't even be debating it probably.Comment -

#4I hope not. They had their chance today, and lost.
Its time for someone else to get a chance. Dont look like Rutgers will be that team. Maybe Arkansas or Florida, which ever wins the SEC Title game.
SEC is still, in my mind, the toughest conference. So the winner there with 1 or 0 losses should get a crack at the national championship.Comment -

#6Arkansas lost to the #2 team (at the time), so they are right up there with Michigan. If they can run the table in the SEC, then I think they should be considered over Michigan. Michigan blew their chance.Comment -

#12absolutely not...scUM had their chance and didn't come through. They won the turnover battle 3-0 and still couldn't win.
Let me phrase it this way....if you are +3 in the TO margin you almost always win the game. Mich barely even covered and needed a controversial 4th and forever pass interference penalty to cover. OSU moved the ball at will against them......either USC or ARK/FLA winner should get serious consideration.
Michigan is a fraud they beat 1 ranked team (an overrated ND team) this entire year and had a relatively weak nonconference schedule and all this in one of the worst big ten seasons in memory.
OSU/USC could be a great matchup...Comment -

#13I really don't feel Michigan is a fraud. However, winning that game after turning the ball over 3 times shows how good the Bucks are.Comment -

#17I agree SEC champ should go ahead of USC, but that won't happen. Need Notre Dame to pull the upset and then we'll get OSU-SEC Champ most likely. Wouldn't mind a rematch either.Comment -

With the rankings as they are, if USC wins out, they will pass Michigan. The two teams are ver close in BCS point now, so two wins (including one over ND) should give USC enough points to pass Mich. If Arkanas wins the SEC, that should only help USC's chances.Comment -

#21my understanding is that Arkansas and ND winning out will still put them below Michigan...of course there's still very much a human element to the BCS because of the polls, but right now it's between Michigan, USC and Florida to play Ohio St...Comment
