Help Understand 3-Way bet

But 3-way lines:

Georgia Tech +14.0 -138
N.C. -14.0 +115
Tie +1800


If I want to bet on North Carolina, how it can be worse to bet 3-way lines? What I am missing?

Probably because they don't want you to bet NC on the 3 way bet because it's likely they win by 12 or so and that becomes a win-win-win for the book.

I believe the three way line would mean if the final score is North Carolina 31-17
And you play the 3way line then you lose, however you can also bet the tie that it lands right on the number
at +1800

In this case the tie doesnt look so bad
